I would like the Paul Ricard circuit to return as the French GP circuit, Suzuka is the best circuit in my opinion, theres rarely a dull race there.

It is a pretty boring place to watch a race! I would have to say it would be fun to drive on though, very technical track! The only reason Bernie has F1 going there is the same reason he has them going to all the tracks they goto! MONEY! He doesn't care about what the racing is like weather its good or bad! Just as long as he gets paid, and paid well!

It is the most challenging (most difficult, demands the highest mental concentration) place to drive formula cars!

Do a search for Senna, Trulli etc onboard shots qualifying at Monaco and see for your self what it takes. Anybody with some race experience should be able to appreciate what those guys do in the circuit.

I NEVER said anything about it NOT being the most difficult! I said that its a boring place to watch a race, from a spectators perspective, thats all! I have seen what it takes, I've been watching F1 for like 15-20 years now! You watch Hamilton dominate there this year and how he was bouncing off the walls! VERY impressive to see! I don't know what your point was or if you even had one but I never said it wasn't hard!

He doesn't care about tradition or anything like that, just how much money he can make! I know Monaco is the oldest race on the calendar but its not like it should be! They could go alot more places and have alot better race!

Yea, but they dont race on the same track! They use like 1 or 2 of the same turns, thats it! Its not the same track therefore its not the oldest! Monaco hasnt changed at all, besides putting a chicane in at the bottom of the hill after they come out of the tunnel!

He got to his position by buys the right to F1, not by being good at his job! And certainly not knowing the business inside and out! Bernie ONLY has pull cause he holds all the contracts to the tracks, thats it! His job wasnt appointed to him, he bought it! Just so you know!

Mr. E may be a shrewd hard nosed businessman who deals only at the highest price possible, but he helped F1 become very wealthy, u see back in the 1970s F1 was in trouble because it wasnt getting the kind of cash it needed to cover the costs involved, not to mention the global oil crises of 73. If it wasnt for Mr. Es global televising expansion of the mid 1970s F1 may have been cancelled a long time ago. The success of modern day F1 owes a lot to the legendary Sir Bernie Eccelstone.

Look F1 is not primarily about overtaking it's about ultimate lap time ultimate technology, ultimate performance over a single lap an a race distance.

Too much overtaking would dumb F1 down we don't want another A1 GP/nascar/champcar style series.

None of today's circuits have the atmosphere of Monaco, this the drivers favourite track.

I dont like Magny-cours but I would much rather watch a race there then the parade at Monaco! The only reason they go there is cause of the glitz and glamour! The reason nobody wants to goto Magny-cours, cause there is no glitz and glamour! Flabio and all the fat cats want to sleep in hotels with 800 thread count sheets instead of having a good race! Its fucking pathetic, the FIA and Bernie should be replaced! Its got NOTHING to do with racing, its ALL about the money! Its been that way forever

Monaco is a legendary grandprix circuit

Legendary yes,but not a great place to race in. Fact is it's not even a circuit but raced on city streets in Monaco.

Spa-Francorchamps,Monza and Nurburgring(the old circuit) are real legendary circuits.

I don't give a shit if McLaren have won there 15 times, Monaco isn't a great racetrack and produces boring races with zero overtaking.

When they had the first race there in 1929 the drivers complained that it was too narrow and unsuitable to race on even THEN. There was a race in 1950,but not one in 51,52,53 and 54.

Zandvoort,Suzuka,old Nurburgring,old Spa(lethal and fast) are real racetracks.

Monaco is just glamour.

Ask the drivers themselves which circuits they love to race on. Most of them love Spa-Francorchamps,Suzuka and Monza(for its great speed).

Monaco 1997, Schumacher led from start to finish all the laps. 1998 Hakkinen led all laps,1999 Schumacher led all laps.2000 the first 11 were exactly the same for the first 36 laps(boring). 2002 Coulthard led all laps. 2005 Raikkonen led all laps. 2006 Alonso led all laps but 1(pitstop). 2007 Alonso led all laps but 5. 15 drivers held same place for 17laps

Oggi nella formula 1 è tutto standardizzato e uguale, e cio la rende quai monotona, vero è che negli anni 70 la formula uno era pericolosa, ma secondo me lo sviluppo della meccanica e dell' aerodinamica in quegli anni portava le scuderie ad adottare soluzioni svariate che rendevano diverse tra loro le monoposto rendendo piu' emozionante ogni gran premio...
