Can anyone tell me what are those paintings on the ground? I remember seeing them as a child back in the 80s, in the streets of buenos aires, I never knew what it was.

They're 'Toynbee tiles'. Wikipedia has a good overview, or just type "Toynbee tiles" into a search engine. I'm lead researcher in a movie about the tiles, which isn't out yet, called 'Resurrect Dead: The Mystery of the Toynbee Tiles'. Cool that you got to see some in Beunos Aires!

@WhollyGhost thanks for the answer and information. the trailer is very interesting, and in fact ,years ago, I had the crazy idea of doing some research for a documentary about it but thought it was impossible, so I am glad someone got to make that happen. I never suspected there were tiles outside buenos aires. I did a documentary about philip k dick. you can check it out in my videos if you are interested.
