Quick tip, if your are adding "mitre's" to the walls then you can select more than 1 brush at a time, for example select both walls that meet at the corner and press E you will be able to mitre both brushes in one move rather than selecting and deselecting them.
Also something that is not covered in this tutorial is the use of "Caulk"...
Caulk basicly tells the game not to display the caulked brush or surface, thus making the game run smoother with a better framerate.
@SoF2ube Caulk... go to > textures and load the texture set called Tools...
use CTRL+SHIFT --- LEFTCLICK to select a single face of a brush and apply the Caulk texture to it, (its in like a pink/purple colour).
Try to apply caulk to every face of a brush that the player cannot see ingame.
A quick and easy way to ensure you are using caulk effectively is to press "i" to select all brushes and apply the caulk, then retexture only the brushes that can be seen by the player ingame.

Not sure if it would work with demo, if its possible to run custom maps in demo then yes it may be possible.
Anyway, you need decompile to .bsp file... mp_shop.bsp using a script called Q32map which will convert the file back to a .map file.
However you need to re-texture the map if you decompile.
