My dad did the same to a 6 day old one in 1970. Rolled onto his roof after cutting a VW in half on bend (parked across the road just like those hippies) and completely wrecked the car. He cut his ear climbing out . We only own Mercedes From that day. :-)

The same thing happened to me 13 years ago in a 1969 280SL and I lived without much damage. I am suprised as here that the roof stayed on. It was terrifying.
