  • Awesome. Anyone know what they are using to control the lights, or how they are syncing them to the audio? I use sunlit suite now, but am looking for a higher end solution? Thanks, Dan

  • Clay Paky actually used this as thier Lightshow at PLASA @ Earls Court in the early 00s, sat there and watched it about 8 times. Best lightshow I ever seen.

  • The timing is very good, on the music. But I don't have a feeling that the movements and the colors are match with the music. This is just a demo to see what the spots can do. You never do this on a stage with band. I hope!

I think that my problem is that i have seen a lot of better shows.

  • Kunstlichtonwerp doesnt know what there talking about. Not just spots there also. Idiot.

  • loving this! If only I had the money for all those moving heads :D

  • Nice spots, they just need a good programmer. Good timing, but the rest sucks.

  • @kunstlichtontwerp Kind of ignorant? I thought it was pretty good.

  • DMX Computer program ?

  • The song sucks...but nice lights

  • Dang, i setup lights for concert productions but not on this scale. wish i had an infinite budget!

  • are you guys in NYC or close by i have a big event coming?

  • did the spot at the bottom right triangle fail to work

  • what's the name of the second song? ps: love the show!!

  • @MRJeroentjuh94 It's the workout theme from Rocky 4.

  • ARMAGEDDON AEROSMITH

  • @MRJeroentjuh94 I don't wanna miss a thing,that's the name... not armageddon.

  • Ce light show me fait rêver, bravo !

  • Fantastico!!!!!!!!!!!

  • if only i could afford that....

  • !! Que grande, que calidad y buen gusto!! te felicito..!!!

  • Grate!

  • Mind Blowing & Breath Taken. Great work

  • show

  • awesome!!! 10 out of 10.....

  • Wow, is all i got to say

  • I can barely afford the CD, how can I afford those lights?

  • I can do that

  • nice video but WOW imagine how much those lights would set you back to buy all of them:O

  • Hi guys, thank you for your appreciation :-)

Have a look to "ClayPakyTv" user on Youtube to find other exciting demo and light show videos!

  • @ClayPakyTV Do you have a higher quality version of your demo lightshows?, there really awsome :)

  • What was the effect on 4:08 to 5:02 cause that looked like an effect from lasers tho i know there not but similar to effects ive seen with laser and i like this fx!

  • @Superiorpakfan

hi the lights in your qustion are called clay pakey golden scan 1200 mk3

they will cost you around ( please don't fall over) £ 15,000 each bulb £230 and these are not sound to light you will need a dmx desk 14 channell, click on to master piece 108 £1,500 each in this vid there is 5 of these.... start saving m8

  • @jameswcrofts

Oh i am aware of the price! of moving heads, if i were to buy id go for elations or PR possibly mac but not going to buy them i am going to study lighting design/operating rigging early next year! Best if i work with a company i can borrow or hire rather than buy the merchandises and technology is fast that i prefer a hire cause that way i am up to date with the products and not just keeping one old product

  • @jameswcrofts m8,the golden scan 3 retailed for £4200,brand new.

  • @jameswcrofts i thought the golden scan was approximately £4,000 each.check the lighting sites and you'll find them.lol.

  • @Superiorpakfan its just a gobo

  • omg i want to watch this over and over again that is the most amazing thing i have ever seen in my life and i have seen a bunch of light shows!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! just tell me everyhing

  • wow, very very good, me gusta mucho, yo soy dj de una discoteca

en yucatan, uno de los mejores show light que he visto, muchas

    felicidades

  • Awesome - always big respect for Clay Paky having head a few rare opportunities to work on a console with Clay Paky gear on the rig....

This reel shows off not just the technical quality of the gear, but the excellent programming and creative skills.... all needed to truly make a magical visual arts feast.

  • i work for a few guys in town doing the grunt part of this...carrying all the moving lights, and control center and all the spots...just I carry everything so I would probably kill myself before they did a light show like this haha...the most I had to do was 4 spots, 8 martins, and the whole control center which was just a couple computers, and then we all put up about 30 chrome cans, and 20-some strobes...it wasn there biggest show, but It was still an amzing light show nothing compared to this

  • The best light show on youtube!

  • AWesome lighting.

  • felicidades tu si sabes utilizar estas luces y darles el buen uso la verdad me impresionaste

  • This vide is amazing no doubt, what board did you guys use for this incredable video? No doubt you guys are amazing!

  • @fed8925 this is no doubt done on at minimum a GrandMA, too many moving heads not to be, unless they are using proprietary hardware to control the fixtures.

  • Anybody know what the specs are on this rig?

  • what are using i am impressed

  • he man is this done by maya lighting?

  • Wow awesome! How long does it take to light a piece like this?

  • amazing what you can do with an infinite budget !

  • brilliant , i lyk the clay paky fixtures. especially the alpha range

  • This is truly a real master piece!!!!

I've been inspired by this....i think this has set the bar for my lifelong achoevments...!!

  • awsome°°° impresionante muy buen video, great scene!

  • Brilliant! Whoever programed this sequence is a true master!

  • It is in Clay Paky's own studio in their factory in Milan, so it should look good and suberb. Brilliant it is, brilliant.

  • They're the master's master

  • SOOO AWESOME!

  • im a lighting techy at my school and when i watched this it inspired me. one word wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • price for 1 clay paky golden scan mk4

    £15,000

  • you pay for quality and service

  • master piece around £3,000

  • People of the tech world, you need to realise that it might look impressive but what's even more impressive was that it's programmed using 10 MASTERPIECES! That's a hard feet to achieve in itself. These days all you really need is a Pearl or a Hog to achieve the same results. MP desks are old but still have their place since they have a powerful shape generator (creating the movements you see)

  • Awsome!

  • second part was more then only amazing !!!!

  • Anything is gonna look good if you throw a million dollars at it.

  • The main thing about using Clay Pakys is to get the humidity low and constant- quite a job when full of sweaty punters, and to get the dry ice air content constant- not too much and not too low.

About 1984 when your average nightclub was impressive- I can still feel the warm chill in the air of it, and big air-conditioning units outside working like hell to keep the relative humidity low and steady.

  • very nice I write light programs with martin lights too but im not that good I would like to learn how but I have no teacher

  • id be happy to be able to afford one of those lights!

  • half a million

  • Wow, would have taken some insane time to rig and cable all that, Well done!

  • omg ! that is taken some time to put up

  • Sehr schön !! Gute gemacht !

  • this is it

  • can you tell me please , how the the of the program to control the lights... i want one but i can't find, is all demos :S

    amazing video

  • You will need an interface to the programe became full and you can actually control your lights.

  • All you need is a 32 foot wide circular projection screen, a line array and david Gilmour hehe.

  • Very Very nice lights!!!!!

But is the movie maked in the AMERICAN-DJ showroom?

Greetz DJ-Ritchie Voor al u evenementen in limburg en omstreken

  • take a look at the video description, its from the Clay Paky showroom, at their factory in Bergamo, Italy

  • @ritchie4play hi,american dj make some good lighting effects, but sorry to say the clay paky golden scan is one of the top of the range you will ever see, each unit £12,000 each and thats not inclueding bulb £200 to £300 thats 1200 watts thats why they are called golden scans 1200hmi!

then you will need controller ie master piece 108 £1300 and no theses lights are not sound active..YOU WILL NEED A CONTROLLER with around at least 25 channels

  • @ritchie4play nee dit is in de clay paky showroom due van american dj lijkt erop ; )

  • its just so perfect! awesome! congratulations

  • So much lights this is F*cking crazy men i like this very much good light show!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Lights as a living entity. This is way,way cool.Good job.I'm doing videos for a band and just starting to get into better lighting, but now I think I'll consider going back to construction work....

  • cool !

  • fairplay for doing this on 10 masterpieces but should probs consider getting a better lighting console and then you could do it all on one

  • wow you kno your stuff bro!

  • great

  • that is very well done indeed. most tv shows dont have lighting programmes anywhere near as good as this.

  • hey what do you use her what

movingheads and what scans and the controler ??

  • hi, looks really great.

if i have so many light, for sure im not in work like now,

also know anybody about any jb-lighting Licon1X or CX lighting console for sale in good condition?

    Thanks

  • hi, its looks really very good

if i have so many heads , i woulden´t be in work at this moment

also know anybody jb-lighting Licon1X or CX for sale in good condition

    Thanks

  • Its Clay Paky

  • thanks man...they are SICK!

  • what lights are these ? Robe or Martin?

  • ONE WORD AMAZING!!!!!!!!!

  • INCREÍBLE!!!

  • Incredible! Amazing! This is the best lightshow I've ever seen! I work with the dmx too, but it's far me to do something like that. Impressive job! Respect! Keep going!

  • Very Very good! By the way you use software or dmx board?

  • I would think software? but i have seen some people do some crazy things with a DMX controller board

  • ya your right by the way do you know how to have different fade times and scene times with a dmx board?

  • if you have a good board you can do same things even easier than with a software!

  • they were using different pulsar masterpiecews (which is a board) connected through midi. READ THE DESCRIPTION PLEASE

  • This may sound weird but how do you conect midi?

i'm new on this and i don't have many light in fact just 1 moving head and 2 led par cans so my dmx board can do the job

    Thanks

  • Every Midi-Device has an input and an output. you connect the out of one to the in of the oter. But you have to know that midi does not directly control the lights, it just sends for example the timecode from one board to the other, to keep it in sync

  • ok, thanks a lot!!

  • Incredible in every way! You are a master at your craft...congratulations!

  • awsome!

  • Wow! im only just getting into DMX lighting

(mobile discos (i can feel the eyes rolling =D )

It has taken me a while to program my Martin 812's, iMove 5S's and Datamooons to do the same colour/gobo let alone a setup like that, Looks Good!!!

  • This Is By Far The Best Light Show I Have Ever Seen

  • wow crazy lights soooooooo jelous all i ever get to work with is 3 scx 600's and 3 mac 300's wich are all martin and a hog 2 console with hog three extension wings. programming must have bein a bitch i give it at least 4 days for programing. btw DONT EVER GET SCX 600'S THEY SUCK! I SAY THEY COME IN TWO MODES I DONT WANT TO AND FUCK YOU MODE!

  • ok nice very nice thank you

  • Wow how many lights are there!!!

  • hi,

  • Great Job¡¡¡¡¡ , congratulations to the Lighting Designer and Lighting Programer , If your programing was in MA Lighting or HOGIII You are in the Winners Group Again NICE LIGHTS¡¡¡¡¡¡

    From México ANGEL LDSX

  • omg - masterpiece :(

i'm sure they needed weeks to programm this ;)

on a hog it's done in 1hour (incl. patching)

  • you are clearly an idiot . no one human could prog that in an hr , i think for the first song a very fast prog would take 24 hrs .

  • Comment removed

  • @hdje39m8

sry, but you are clearly no operator....

i do this job since 15 years, so pls. don't call me an idiot.

It looks like you have no idea about programming and functions on state-of-the-art-desks....

using a masterpiece for programming movinglights is like driving a formula one race with a baby buggy which has squared tyres....

  • i am an operator with 20 years experience in the business , no one could prog this is one hr you are out of your mind . Patching an Palletes is going to take you an hr , na u really are an idiot my friend .

  • OH MY LORD!! :O I JUST FEEL IN LOVEE!!!! AND ITS WITH THIS LIGHT SHOW!!! <3 :D lol AWESOME SHOW!! Greeting From Canada!

  • I think its a true work of genus and all who helped to create it should be congratulated

  • Its really good, but im not so big on all the light on the audience.

  • RRAAAAHHH I`M DIEEING

  • hehe, my respect for the LJ who programmed this masterpiece.

  • How romantic!

  • Nice light show. only is there in the background a little too much light as you look, it is sometimes difficult.
