Was this the half-hour music show with David Sanborn, that was called Sunday Night, or some such, as well? If so, that show was awesome. Actually, this show looks pretty awesome as well.
I can't believe that all the recordings from this show have not been released. This was one of the greatest music shows ever. This particular appearance of Was Not Was managed to get me to blow up my speakers. But it was worth it. I asked Don after a show once about releasing this stuff and he was baffled as to who has the rights.
I love how there's just a mass of people up on stage that can barely fit. I can recognize house band members Omar Hakim and Philippe Saisse, and looking at the Wikipedia episode guide, it looks like Perla Batalla and Julie Christensen are singing backing vocals although there's some other woman and guy on the right that I don't recognize. Awesome.
Sweet Pea - Otis' heir apparent and one hell of an R&B singer. Just love him!!!

Ive always thought this was a little fast played - but I love Sweetpea and the boys. The singing is a true soul greatness. The new album is great.

Great rendition of Otis Redding's classic. Also great to see David Sanborn on sax.

If you can find it out there, listen to the version from the What up Dog Recording....it's longer, and probably would bring down the house.
