Really good. I love this kind of laid back garage rock. My hobby is to rediscover all those great bands from the 60s that didn´t "broke through". It´s a fantastic musical treasure. Listen for example (on youtube) to The Music Machine (Talk, talk), The Golliwogs (Tell me) and of course a band from Scandinavia called THE ZETTLERS. Check up their versions of "Skinnie Minnie" and "Beautiful Delilah". Awesome!!!!!And.....with a bloody driving beat.
Good morning, do you like sixties? Listen and pod cast my program " great sound of 60' s " on the site plumfm. Greeting and made blooper in rock and roll. Salut, vous aimez les sixties ? Ecoutez et podcatez mon émission "le super son des sixties" sur plum fm. Salut et faites gaffe au rock'n roll
OMG! This really brings back memories, from the 'Sumpin' Else' live TV show at Northpark Mall in Dallas. Mouse was a big hit in Dallas! Thanks for posting this!
Knox Henderson, who wrote the tune, had had a fight with his wife the night before. Everybody was trying to get a hit, up to and including mimicking Dylan, thus the vocal style, which wasn't really Bugs style. The tune was a 'hit' in two towns - Tyler, where I went to HS with them and Louisville, KY, where I live now. Knox taught me that songs were written by ordinary people and not by geniuses.
:-) Yep...one of the very first tunes I dug on the old Nuggets series...the single wasn't cheap though...60's garage rock has gone through the roof pricewise

Who wrote this? Welder . . . vault . . . The only welder reference in rock history. Priceless!

A lot of the music from this time had a similar sound.
Mouse doesn't deny that he was influenced by Dylan.
a lot of us were. it was the sixties and brain surgeon rock had not been invented yet.
Ronnie (Mouse) Weiss is still in demand as one of the finest musicians in East TX, He is a fine player and a class act. and a good friend.

the house band at Robinhood Bryan's studio in Tyler, where ZZ Top recorded La Grange in '73.
Bugs H. is one of the best rock/blues guitarists ever, imo.

Nice one , often touted as the "lost" Dylan track.
