i think we're all too cautious about "what effect _____ will have on the kids". there's more going on with people that smoke then just trying to "look cool". people are too sensitive about these things, you make smoking attractive in making it a rebellion, and it's made a rebellion when it's prohibited from art/media. kids know the health risks, they (mostly) understand how media works, stop trying to shelter them! THAT's harmful!

I wear quite a few myself actually, and perhaps the promise was not to smoke? (ex it being unhealthy, or maybe someone not wanting you to damage your body or get sick?)

All of you need to calm down. I don't necessarily think there's that much of an issue with smoking as long as people don't do it within a closer proximity to other people. Just about all of us are going to end up with cancer at some point anyway, so using that point is a bit redundant now.
