This is the realest comercial ever! It still applies today. This is probably the reason my parents bought me the Atari800 instead of the 2600 I wanted. I was learning BASIC at 10-11 years old. Today I own a few C64 and use it for Machine Language.
Years later, the kid with the Atari 2600 applied for a job at the local McDonald's. He now spends his time flipping burgers and wishing he had gone to college instead of wasting years on video games.
The kid with the Vic 20, instead, sent over 9000 resumes to companies that either replied that they did not need someone like him or did not reply at all. He now spends his time flipping burgers at the same McDonald's and wishing he had played more videogames instead of wasting years on college.
The secret to preserving cassette and floppy disks was to keep them away from things like televisions and sunlight. A nice cool dry place. There are still many examples of cassette tapes and disks from those days that survived because their owners took good care of them.
I guess I would've wasted my money buying a tape recorder. I miss my VIC-20 and I miss BASIC. It was a cool programming language at the time because you didn't have to be smart to use it.
I used to own one of those. I'd type in BASIC programs and run them. After I turned off the computer, I'd have to type in the program again---I didn't get around to buying one of those cassette recorders.
I had a Vic 20 when I was a kid and Im still looking for a job ! I want my money back!

@viktorgasparik It's a Bach composition called "Invention XIII". Quite a popular song for Commodore commercials in the States.
