I agree this is extremely moving. I Tivo'd it at the time and played it over and over. Even though he won, I was very sorry to hear his Las Vegas show was not well received. He deserves more success than he's apparently had, as I've heard nothing about him since he won. Pity. I do hope he has a hit record someday. He seems like a nice guy, and is deserving of it.

This for me is the greatest audition in any of the talent shows I'm from Australia. The reason I say this is because not only did he sing the song extremely well but he sang it after everyone was laughing and making fun of him.

I'm from Southeast Missouri. Our accents around here probably aren't as southern as his, but the way of life (hunting, fishing, mudding, country music) are pretty similar. I know and love a lot of people like Kevin.
