Actually, Macs, can run Windows and Mac OSX. So more programs for two OS's. Windows can only run programs for windows. So a mac is basically the only computer you will ever need.

That's a fair argument, there. However, if you look at the latest hacks out there, one can literally run a vanilla kernel and recieve Apple updates. True, you'll need to purchase a specific hardware. But, the fact that one can technically install Leopard on an AMD machine, patch some pieces, and have most (if not all) of Leopard and Cocoa/Carbon apps and system libs working certainly shortens the gap between Macs and PC's. Hell, they look more and more like the same things under the hood anymore

Macs can run every operating system a PC can. Most PC users dont know that and dont understand it. I have a Mac with Leopard, XP, Vista, Ubuntu, and OpenGEU installed on it. These are OSes that are directly booted into with no emulation. Any Linux flavor can be installed on it, as i have experimented with many. Then there are programs like VMware Fusion that allow you to run ancient OSes as well. Dos, Windows 3.1, win 95, 2000 etc. Then there are the old Mac OSes System 7 thru OS 9.
