In Luke 4:9-12, the devil is trying to get Jesus put the LORD God to the test by jumping. This doesn't prove that Jesus is God, rather proves Jesus relies on his God and is holy enough to not be tempted by pride as to jump off to test his God whether his God would send the angels to catch him.

1. That Jesus is God
2. That Jesus is the same person as the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob
2. That Jesus is eternal
3. That Jesus couldn't say ἐγὼ εἰμί without being God

- The NA27 & UBS4 reads: ος εφανερωθη εν σαρκι
who revealed among flesh
- No uncial (in the first hand) earlier than the eighth or ninth century supports theos; all ancient versions presuppose hos or ho [he who or he]
- All respected trinitarian scholars admit this (e.g. Bruce Metzger).

2. Colossians 1:15 (first person to experience the true resurrection)
