  • @5trik9 could your fatigue be thyroid related and not because of a drug you took 7 years ago? deserves introspection.

  • 2:50 your hands are huge!!!!...... gave me the weirdest boner

  • Ps. I used to take Prozac and it probably worked better than anything else for me but stopped working after 4 years. Now I'm trying zoloft but haven't noticed much.

  • Other thing is no drs told me about birth defects and I recently had to go off birth control. I know it's my responsibility to be informed but those jerks really need to do more on their end too. I lost my insurance, it's such a messed up health care system.

  • I totally agree with what u said about the class action law suit. I don't feel I was informed and it did debilitate me to the point of not working. My dr got me up on a pretty high dose. They must be immediate release because they are solid white round pills. I' was taking 3 a day and now trying to ween from a half pill a day to a quarter pill. I get nauseous, and dizzy, feel tired and hopeless at times. I can't wait to be done with it. I have only experienced probably 20 saps and I have bee

  • Prozac! I ended up in the hospital after the doctor put me on that stuff. After that episode he tried me on several useless drugs until settling with Effexor. Circa 1997 to present. Ending - Friday. That will be my last Effexor capsule. Then it's just my Lithium until my appointment with him two weeks later unless he responds to my phone call two hours ago.

  • You`re off the effexor but on the prozac so whats your win on this?

  • Thanks for making these videos! I'm starting to get off Effexor (slowly) and appreciate your knowledge and encouragement.

  • lol...i open up the caps to sort out the dose. someof the 150mg are full of grains, then another type contain 3 ball shaped things each 50mg i spose. I still need my effexor they work way better than fluoxetine for me and will still be on them for the forseeable future....i wouldnt go as far as comparing it to heroin!

  • I asked my Dr if there were any withdraw problems with Effexor and he told me there was none........thats how much these Drs know about the medicine they prescribe ! All that med school and they don't know a thing about what is important

  • "LET ME CATCH YOU UP TO DATE..." (???)

  • YOUR GROTESQUE SMOKING HABIT WILL CAUSE YOU MORE PROBLEMS THAN EFFEXOR EVER DID.

  • Thankyou otiamaria for your videos and speaking out.I am a SURVIVOR myself. Also,my daughter is a survivor,of Effexor in pregnancy.I wish you peace in your mind ,body and soul.~

  • I cant wait to be off this crap, all docters know is pharmaceuticals , I just cant wait to do all the natrual herbs and plants i want & not have to worrie about interactions and side effects from this shit. And im only 16 so i say screw docters and say yes to nature.

  • @StickDeath66 Well said i couldn't have said it better myself !!!

  • ive been going through hell for the last week with depression and other shit im on efexor xr 75 and this shit scares the hell out of me, after watching your vid it looks like i can slowly wean myself off this crap cause its not only my life its destroying its my poor wife having to go through it with me. so thanks for the vid

  • they put me on something that was like Zanex for about 6 months at one time and I only took half a little bitty pill in the morning and half in the evening. It never seemed to help me feel better so I quit taking it thinking it had no effect anyway. For 2 weeks I thought I was gonna die I was so screwed up, but after I saw it was not any good for me I was happy to quit it. Kudos Paula hang in there kid! Still praying for you always!!

  • I had to watch this again. This subject causes very powerful emotions for me. I am so glad that you were able to kick effexor completely. It gives me hope. Thank you, you are a good soul.

  • I'm still on Effexor XR. I weaned off of it once. It took two months and went down to three grains a day. Unfortunately the Lexapro they put me on wasn't much better. Actually it was worse. I blacked out and ended up on someone's lawn while driving. Luckily not killed. Effexor sucks trying to get off it, but it works for me when I'm on it. So i guess I'll take it till I croak.

  • I forgot to mention that one long term side effect of taking Effexor XR, is that you might develop a condition called Tardive Dyskinesia. This is an involuntary movement of the face, tongue, and other parts of the body. I believe that I have this condition in my legs. When sitting, I sometimes rock back and forth without realizing it, or life my heels up off the floor over and over again. I can make it stop if someone points it out to me. Otherwise I am oblivious to it.
