going into 00:58, choked on my coffee as images of "DANGER WILL ROBISON!" shot into scenes from (original) "Land of the Lost" ( froggy aliens hiding in every niche, then creeping into motion when the pyramid atop light up!).
SUNtRAvellers get hip to this shit, ride the lightbeams of the 73rd cosmos quasi-strobing all five liquid dimensions back through time and space to the very beginnings of all that is and all that wasn't.Skating the icering headdress of goddess Jupiter we become one with womb of the galactic embrya giving birth to naked purple universes beating quantum star-rhythms unlocking the interplanetary key Codex deciphering and uncoupling it from the far reaches of space's corridors. And yes, I'm high.
Well I didn't know that. Very thought provoking. He could be a high functioning crazy guy or really a being from saturn in an Afrikan mans body. Many people took him seriously his ideas were ahead of time.
I'd love to watch this, but the interlacing on the video is horrible. Those horizontal lines are because you didn't deinterlace when converting from TV (or VHS) to digital video.
Thanks! The band came to the RNCM M/c UK c1980, a stiff room with no drink or dancing. I got my pal Jr. to interview Sun Ra on the local BBC radio reggae programme, although Jr had never heard of Sun Ra. The int/vw went fine, he said he was disappointed black folks didn't appreciate his music, tho he was glad to be playing to all, saw himself in the tradition of Ellington. He made a point of getting Jr + the other 3 black folk there to be the first to join in the dancing. Brilliant gig, a genius
We once had the 13 musicians at our place for late night dinner. Sun Ra and his Arkestra is legendary revolutionary. Thank you infinitely for posting!!!

00:45, shades of "The Mothership" w/ "The Clones Of Dr. Funkenstein". Many should thank this man(?) or being for his musical vision.
