What it really boils down to, is that these two should never have worked together. Sr. is unprofessional about how he handles his employees, namely his kids. Jr., talented as he may be, is lazy, has a poor work ethic (good attendance practices are a big part of a good work ethic), and wants to be #1 without putting in the time. Mikey just wants life handed to him for free. I would have fired both of them years ago on attendance alone.

The way I figure, He could come and go as he pleases. about as much time as senior spends out back shooting the shit, in his office sleeping, reading magazines, jerking off on the computer and yelling, jr. was gone. A strong work ethic is 50% internal drive and dedication, 50% of what you were taught your whole life.

@sagequan Junior owned 20%. He is a talented designer and he has some skills, but I stand by my earlier comments. Junior puts in a few long days here and there and he's a hero? Sorry, but no. Mikey hasn't EVER worked a hard day in his life. Yes, Senior seems lazy, but he put his time in to earn the right to kick his feet up. Junior and Mikey want that right without paying their dues. I'm not saying Senior is a good father figure, but those boys may as well be 14 years old. LAZY!

But it is also Seniors loss for expecting them to be greatful.

He demands the benefits the old man has but forgot to first EARN them. First of all, The old man owns the majority of the business & I damn well bet he GAVE the shares to Jr at less than market value. Mikey, love him but he hasn't worked a day in his life andhe thinks he has/does. Both kids are VERY over entitled. rules are rules.

The show is what made OCC grow. Without the show they are just another average bike shop making average bikes. Jrs design and fabrication is rather mundane.Real bikers won't shit on an OCC bike. There are many better bikes builders out than OCC. But if you're a noob with 40 K to blow you get OCC to build you a bike cause they're on TV.

I've read their book and when you find out about both Jnr's and Snr's upbringings, you can understand that there are some deep things they still feel. That is what they say in the book.
