  • yeah why cant they just kiss and make up and enter in the mens pair. Im sure they can get gold in London with a combination like that

  • They were entered in a double once but I think it got scratched before they had a chance to race it. They have raced a quad together though (Cohen, Trott, Waddell and Drysdale). Apparently it wasn't great.

  • have they ever had a go in the double?

  • Whos Alley Foreman?

  • @NAXE5 He was referring to the most famous boxing match of all time between Muhammad Ali and George Foreman in 1974. It was dubbed The Rumble in the Jungle.

  • Rob makes Mahe look like a panzy...no offense to Mahe hes a great athlete but Waddell is an engine. Its like Alberto Contador and Lance Armstrong in a way. I think its BS that Waddell destroys Mahe so many times and the one time it counts Mahe wins and suddently everyone is like "OMG Mahe is so much better..." besides Waddell had a heart issue. If this was Nat Cohen and Mahe I wouldn't care because no offense to Nat he's not on the same level as Waddell and Mahe...

  • waddell is the better sculler hes one of a kind

  • @AxelPRC Wrong, he was the better athelte, as a sculler, Drysdale is much better.

  • It seems people are forgetting one simple fact. Waddell has annihalated the three time world champion 3 out of four times that they have met. He's only been in the boat since last July, and that's after a 7 year hiatus. That alone shows two things: Talent and Drive! Waddell is Drysdale's hero. Everything he does is based on what Waddell has done before.

  • Wich is Waddell's best 2000mt on Concept II?

    And Mahe's best?

  • waddell is 5:36, one BAMF.

  • Waddell: 5:36.6

  • @manganiellos 5 36.6 for wadell not sure about drysdale but I'm guessing around 5 40- 5 50

  • @niueanskier Thank you!

I Think that Mahe can do 5.45.

  • yay i was racin at this reggatta 2 yay go COUNTIES MANUKAU ROWING CLUB

  • Ergo scores don't matter ; Tim Maeyens's best (from Belgium) is something like 5.55 - and he was in the olympic final in skiff in 2004, final 2005-2006. Technique is still the most important thing over strength! But if you have both - then you are lucky ! Wadell has more strength then technique, Drysdale isn't that good technically but he has the ability to let the boat move gently.

  • Yeah you're right, erg scores don't make a difference at all.

  • @ALLDALI yea but tim mayerns has never been in the hunt for an olympic medal in the single. Yea sure ergs only count for soo much but you will never see a olympic champion with a slow erg

  • @ALLDALI remember that higher weight correlates to higher erg score. look at the watts per kg to get an idea. Maeyen's as a higher value in this calculation, according to the erg score you stated, than rob waddell suprisingly.

  • @ALLDALI waddell has amazing fluid technique, scullers are strange, good technique is what suits them individually, sculling in singles is different than in crews.

  • i was rowing at that reggatta, and im in the crowd rite on the edge in tha purple jumper with black shorts, yay me!!! (stamndin next 2 matt whos in da red shirt)

  • Actually, Drysdale was 5:35, Waddell was 5:36.6

  • actually ur an idiot rob was 5:36.6 and mahe is 5:43.6

  • Comment removed

  • Thanks, thanks for this!! What a fantastic selection it is.

    Go Mahe!

  • Como lo viene poniendo Rob ehhhh

  • Thats what a 5:35 gets you.

  • 5:36.6 actually. New world best, i cant believe concept II wouldnt recognize it...

  • he gets the 5:35min, but actually it is unofficial
