  • AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA ADORO ESA CANCION ;3

  • I just tries to sing this along with Rin.

O.O I found out I could sing higher then I ever thought I could! I mean, I was seriously hitting those high notes! (but not every time...)

  • I don't quite understand the storyline... Halp?

  • @EmmaRoseDragon Rin has a troubled past (why she strangles a younger version of herself), that is why she wants to jump in a nuclear reactor, what the reactor symbolizes is up to you

  • @MrMonople Wow this song is more intense than I would've imagined... Thanks for explaining it~

  • so wut is thi about man?? srry xD

  • 5 people were thrown into a nuclear reactor :)

  • This translation is one of the most beautiful and poetically written that I've found on youtube thus far. It goes beyond phrasing everything to a ridiculously literal sense, and instead translates in a beautiful, more naturally flowing way, while keeping the true meaning of the lyrics.

    (Many applauds,sir translator!)

But god, I cried the first time I watched this. This song, the lyrics, it's all beyond beautiful-- I love it.

  • I tried to sing this to annoy my sister

  • this sounds so much like "Onii Yuukai" but i like it

  • @KuchikiFan101 Onii Yuukai is a parody O3O

  • @SophieGizzy it is?

  • @KuchikiFan101 I think so. I heard someone say that somewhere. Could be wrong :P

  • @SophieGizzy oh okie but thx for the info and i could probally look it up

  • @KuchikiFan101 Onii Yuukai is a parody of Loli Yuukai, which is a parody of this.

  • @Satrynify wow... thx for the info and that just blew my mind

  • I wonder if I could replicate this onto my Vocaloid Editor...If only I knew the notes, then perhaps I could.

  • Rin,Thank you for giving me a way to kill my childhood,by pushing it into a fusion reactor!

  • This makes me remember why I love Rin <3

  • Push off, Miku! Rin is the NEW ultra cute diva!

  • Ahh, these forms of subs really work! I can actually sing to the song now :3

  • @TasogareTaichou thx now I know what it means now!

  • HATERS SHOULD BE THROWN INTO A NUCLEAR REACTOR!! :3

  • @StrawberryCandyBunny

No....too good for 'em. plus, they'd be in there with Rin!

  • who could dislike this

  • I know this isn't really related to the song, but am I the only Vocaloid fan that plays UT2k4? If not, I was kind-of thinking about making a Meltdown PV in UT2k4, so I searched for UT2k4 Meltdown but couldn't find anything. So, before I actually do anything, I just wanted to know what you thought. Thx!

  • @fierfly567 I believe the reason she has a bass cleft on her choker is that Len has the treble cleft and in all their vids they're mirror images, twins separated at birth or lovers. (Depends on which one you watch) Hope that clears it up some.

  • why is there a base on her chocker! rin should be waring a trebble!

  • I can't take this song seriously after listening to Onii Yuukai... *sweatdrop* Aniki no beddo nisa...

  • Can someone explain this song for me please. I've listened to it a few times but I don't get it.

  • @Mo321500 The song is about how she is unhappy with herself. The little girl represents her past, and she dreams of "killing" her younger self. Diving into a nuclear reactor could either represent wanting to commit suicide, or withdrawing deep into her core to avoid the rest of the world. At the end of the song, it also says that the morning she is gone will be much better than how it is now.

  • @Mo321500 The song references growing up. The older Rin is representative of the self that she is becoming, while the young child Rin is her childhood. She is frustrated and feeling lost because in order to grow up, she must 'kill' and leave that child behind. The whole process of growing up is like diving into a nuclear reactor, because the emotions within her make her feel at times as though she is going to explode, yet she knows that by doing so, she will be reborn as her 'new' adult self.

  • @TasogareTaichou so THAT'S how rin append appared :D

  • I try so hard to sing this but my voice won't go that high and cuz I've been singing so much lately my throat kinda hurts.... :/

  • y does rin weqr black n white?A-i think b/c its ying (girl) and yang (boy) so len is yang and rin is ying ^~^

  • It'd be a nice way to die. If only normal people could access one. Considering most of the world probably feels the same way lately though, there would be a huge line... I hate lines.

  • *from tv tropes wouldn't this song be harsher in hindsight *then fukishima happen*um ouch

  • I don't think she killed herself... BEcause she is weighted down by her childhood, she feels the world will be better without her but she never died.

  • now how to gan access to a nuclear reactor... a wonderful way to die.

  • i could sing all of it in english :D NOW TO LEARN THE LYRICS BY HEART TO MAKEZ A VID... this is gonna be awhile =3= STUPID KOMI STOP LEARNING MORE THEN 1 SONG AT A TIME Dx

  • That last scream...I can hit the note. O.o

  • me trying to sing it

Me: suuyy aaaaaah lalala AAAAAHH blah blah |screaaaam| bbbHAHAHAHAHAaaaaaaAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH | aaaair...|

  • Meltdown is my fave Rin song ever. HATERS WILL DIE! :D DIE HATERS DIE!!

  • i love the song lol XD

  • I enjoy Rin's more sad/angsty songs than her cheery happy ones...why do I feel like these kind of songs suit her voice better? (But maybe that's just me with my love of serious songs ^_^;)

  • Pray for Japan~♥

  • Wow first time I heard it and it made me think of japan right now :(

  • I heard this song like a month or two ago, but now it makes me think of the meltdown stage in japan right now :(

  • @urgirlygirl1 yeah me too(but i heard this song more than a month^^),everytime i hear news about japan i can hear "kaku-yuugou-ro nisa" in my head

  • I LOVE THIS!!

  • SCIENCE

    Rin is better than it.

  • How can she live being so flat >.>

  • @Shukaku666 you do realize shes 14 right?

  • @abschussrampe not even funny.

  • @abschussrampe seriously... what a joke.

  • @abschussrampe The worse Joke ever about a very very nice song that is NOT funny at all. Do not try if you dont know.

  • @abschussrampe We didn't need a quote from retards like you.

  • @MiniStrawberryCakes9 Actually, I tried to show just how stupid it is to like music that encourages suicide by making an equally stupid joke. It seems I failed.

  • @abschussrampe Fuck off. :D

  • Rin, I love♥ you BUT. You just made me wanna "accidentally jump" into a nuclear reactor.

I never knew a song about suicide could be so... AWESOME!

  • Diving into a nuclear reactor core~ so romantic...

And then your skin fell off. :|

  • If you think about diving into a nuclear reactor, engulfing yourself in pure blue light, so that all your sins can finally feel like they've been forgiven...

and then you think of those who just go and shoot themselves because their boyfriend/girlfriend broke up with them...

It's a huge difference... A touching and beautiful difference.

  • Haters die! Vocaloids rulezz! I don't like pop, but I love this song! ^_^ And haters would die :D

  • @Meelkor11 Haters should be tossed into a nuclear reactor :3

  • @Meelkor11 Would be by nuclear or roadroller? :3

  • So what happens to you if you go into a fusion reactor?

  • @Rayvn7 you burn to death :D

  • @countbleckdashit How is that 'beautiful'? Burning is the most painful way to die!

  • @Rayvn7 It's not the pain that's beautiful. It's the way you're dying. It's a gorgeous death, think about it. Just being surrounded by a bright blue light... It's the last thing you see. You're falling to the end. There's just something really fantastic about it.

  • Are all female Japanese pop stars 12 years old?

  • @Rayvn7

Rin isn't a pop star, she's not even real. She's a Vocaloid, a computer program, but her persona for her voice is 14 if I remember correctly. Her voice actor for her voice bank is much older than 12.

  • @xPinkCirnox So now COMPUTER PROGRAMS re pop stars? I think that is quite a bit worse then a 12-year-old....

  • @Rayvn7 its funny that you thought she was real xD her voice is designed to sound 12ish - 14ish by the way :3 and its kinda of a fun technology if i do say so my self, it lets people express them selfs though song even if they can't sing and can't afford ms. pop star over there to sing their lyrics. you should see the other VOCALOIDs they have ones that sound older, even some male ones and ones that sing in English too and they sing all sorts of song genres.

  • @Rayvn7

Quite the contrary. And she's not a pop star, although Hatsune Miku, one of the more popular Vocaloids, could be considered a virtual diva of some sorts in Japan. Honestly, I think it's a lot better. The computer program is only an instrument (the voice). The true star is the actual song writer, so they're going to get credit.

I think that's a lot better than a prepubescent boy singing songs that someone else made for him about things he has no clue what the meanings are.

  • @Rayvn7 ..... You really need to learn more bout the vocaloids, dude.... Everyone who has been on this video loves them, and you are missing out...

  • Too bad pretty much all experimental fusion reactors are torus-shaped. So if you dive into the middle, you go through and hit a concrete floor.

    Oops.

  • 4 PEOPLE NEED TO GO JUMP INTO A NUCLEAR REACTOR!!! D:<

  • wow... that was a very intresting song, lovely neverless though!

  • ....i dont get how fans dub thesesongs . is it a deal where, they translate the romanji word for word then, wen finished they take what ever English words they end up with and try to piece them together to form an english version of the lyrics?

i tried translating this song and it seemed that this song had a lot of random words strung together that didnt seem to make a cohesive sentence . o O;; can some one enlighten me pleas.? :DDD love this song

  • @AlterAngel71 well, japanese grammer and english grammer is very diffrent. like to say, "I had a nightmare" you would literly say "bad dream dremt". not only that but the more words a sentance has the politer it is. so it may just be that rins being polite to her little self. anyways japanese is VERY diffrent and hard to translate perfectly. oh btw if ur going by the romaji, you have to change the verb tenses to look them up in a translator dictionary.

  • @kagenohana1 sorry ment to say "Bad dream seen"

  • @kagenohana1 ok, so if you were talking to someone in japan, it would be polite to say random words in the middle of your sentence? im not trying to be rude, im just just confused.

  • @ShamacooAndNemuke no n yes. the pattern n which the words r ordered r different as well. but you have 2 remember that japan also has a different way of putting things together. for example 2 say "Im here!" would be "watashi wa iru" which translated word by word means "i/me exist". n the language uses a lot of interjections to change the meaning of the sentance. for example, the word "desu" n japanese. it can mean "is, am, or be". saying this word also makes the sentance politer n usally goes at

  • @kagenohana1 (continued) at the end of the sentance but also can go in the middle if it is a run on sentance. OH! say you want to say "hi, you look nice today." to a friend in japanese, to be politer (not sure if thats a word XD) you would add more words like, "Hello, (friends name), you certanily look fine and well today. Get it? (sorry for late reply)

  • @kagenohana1 oki. thank you.

  • @AlterAngel71 I believe a fandubber that goes by the name Katerinu2 did a fandub of this and the lyrics were pretty good. She changed it a little here and there, but the meaning is the same and it still gets the same idea across.

  • Onii Yukai's tune came from meltdown right?

Anyways, this is awesome! It's the hundredth song in my vocaloid playlist! Yeahhh! X)

  • This is the first time i love a song while hving no clue about the lyrics

  • I love this song so much. And she's an awesomely talented singer! Her voice is REALLY hard to trace but I practice everyday. Now I can hit the high notes like her! I recorded both of us together, and we sound almost EXACTLY the same!

  • O__O How Can She Hit Those High Notes So perferctly... Lolz But This And Kokoro Are My Favorite Songs By Rin-sama!!

  • @XYumiVampriss1234X 'Cause she's a computer program. xD

  • @PiNKSUNSHiN3

    Yea, true XDD

  • I think the story(in my mind) is that Rin did something very terrible with something to do with fusion, maybe created an atomic bomb of some sort? That countdown was the count to when the "bad thing" happened, and the only way to stop it was for Future Rin to go back into the future and kill her Past Rin- thus, the Past Rin saying "if I jump into the fusion reactor, maybe everything will be okay?"

Thats the main thesis I got from it. xP

  • Really well done!

  • I just noticed Rin's in prison. Or somewhat.

    4:58

It really adds up now ahahaha~

  • Allegro? Agitate?

  • @gamergurl425 In most Latin-based languages, like mine, Allegro is "Joy" and Agitate is "Anger". Or some other negative emotion.

  • @SuperNVB But it can also mean: Allegro, "to singer slower" and Agitate, "to sing faster"

  • @SuperNVB Or is that the other way around?

  • @gamergurl425 its supppose than is a internet melody son than have almost the same than meltdown n-n

  • Moetron Subs makes it so easy for Karaoke it's unreal~

  • A song about Fusion Reactor? XD

  • Rin looks creepy in this song

  • Rin is so amazing in this song I just love it!

  • The people who dislike this mustve had one big ass meltdown...

  • I get goosebumps every time I hear this song. Its near perfection.

  • Oh wow... I had no clue "Loli Yuukai" actually derived from THIS song "Meltdown" o.O (Thought 'loli yuukai' was an original song, then 'onii yuukai' came from that until i saw a link to THIS video)... Now Gakupo's version of this song makes sense 8D (when he wears the black and white dress Rin wears in this) and a lot of other things, too.

ps: Rin sounds AWESOME in this! XD

  • This is such a beautiful song. :')

  • Rin have such a beautiful voice *-*

  • she 'aint depressed she's happier than a fatty with cake P:

  • freaky beautiful

  • I love this song!

  • "Look at me dangling my younger self off the balcony!"

It's an inside joke....No one will get it DX

  • @felldog3 Enlighten us, please. :\

  • If only I could find a fusion reactor to dive into *sigh* It probably would be beautiful, for the fraction of a second I'd experience before dying. Still... xD I like the hectic-ness of the rhythm and lyrics. I think Rin's voice suits it quite well.

  • 2:06

    <3

    I love this song~!

  • Touching...it makes me want to try diving into a nuclear reactor. It would be a truly beautiful suicide.

  • @Koramaru What? O.o

  • @Koramaru thats funny, cause we where doing poems in class today, and i wrote one one about meltdown, i was in the mood for it, here it is.

    Falling Down.

    Inside the reactor.

    The blue lights burn me.

    Yet it feels so lovely.

I melt away, with no pain, no regret.

  • @nightsandreala123 Oh my God, I got 117 likes?! That's so crazy, it was such a random comment! <333

  • rin is ver vervgood in thuis song

  • i believe that Rin is singing from the point of view of a nuclear reactor's Control. this module regulates the tempurature and pressure in a fusion reactor. when the module over heats from the fusion reactions, it causes a meltdown, releasing nuclear waste and burning up the control module.

the writer must have had a background in physics

  • creepy (voice).... maybe thats why i like it.

  • i luv it like i only like the song but i dont like the looks

    so its 3/5!!

  • I love the video. I love the song. And I love the message behind it.

This is my favorite Rin song. <3

  • What is the song about? I love it but i'm still a fuzzy on the explaination

  • だいすきですねえ!!!!!

  • global warming?XD it looks like it :P

Anywho, this vid is AWESOME!! yay fusion XD~~ Rin actually has a nice voice (and i love her outfit^_^)

  • I do like the effects they did on the voice~ It reminds me of a guitar...

  • @ginkitsune13

When they are wrong correct them ...

  • translations are wrong...

  • @ginkitsune13 are you sure? where's the wrong part?

  • the part I don't get is the "allegro-agitate" thing. what's that mean? D:

  • @NightfallGemini

"Allegro" and "agitate" are both ways to sing, I took choir a while ago so I'm probably wrong on the meanings, but they mean 'sing slower' and 'sing faster' respectively.

  • @ToraMimiNeko You're close, I'm in band and I've heard of Allegro, not Agitate though. Allegro means "faster", so I suppose Agitate must mean "slower" ^_^

  • @80MasterOfDisaster08 Ah your both really close XD Allegro does mean to sing faster, but Agitate (or rather agitato) is to play more excitedly, like being agitated ^_^

The Japanese that comes up during that part is supposed to be said as 'agitato' which is the actual musical term~ The dude who made this song did a good job at omitting the 'to' sound at the the of 'agitato' XD

  • I'm sorry, I don't get it...

  • It reminds me at the start of the sing a little "Just be friends" by luka,But i love this song :)

  • and to think... they made this from like one sample of a voice and change it to rin, so she could sing.

  • I can sing most of this EXCEPT THAT LAST NOTE. ugh. >_>

  • Comment removed

  • LOVE IT!

  • It's simple to sing, but it's that last high note that's the problem. XD

  • yeah. i can do it when i sing the japanese part, but not the english part.

  • I love it soooooo much that i feel like singing and dancing when i hear it!

  • i love this song!!!!!!!!!!! im gonna learn the whole song and then sing it in the talent show!! XD ^_^ and yes i can sing that hi haha ^_^ just need 2 find out some way it wont sound like crap in the microphone cuz i can sing that hi and i can sing it well but whenever i try singing it with a microphone it sounds crapy really crapy

  • @animegirlkariamamore

    Good luck with that.

  • @itsambergirl18 earlier post.

Guys, i mean good luck as in actually saying "good luck" not like "your not gonna be able to pull it off".

  • Great song!

  • japanese are so clever almost every word end either A,E,I,O,U so in other word it rhyme, anyway another nice vocaloid song ^^

  • lol you know thats how words end, those are their vowels and all the words are based on letters that just add a,e,i,o,u to the end, not every letter though, im pretty sure C doesnt exist as a 1 or 2 letter syllable, so theres not a ca,ce,ci,co,or cu, but Ka,e,i,o,and u exist. anyhow.

  • I love love is war and meltdown!!!! Your really good at the moetron subs thing, and it helps a lot because im trying to learn jappenese.....

  • @Djrox101 Me too!!! I use Byki. Look it up. They have a free version too (the one I'm using). I don't like buying stuff on the internet, so usually I use demos and whatnot. Byki has helped a LOT. You should try it. *Please don't spam this, I'm being honest here.*

  • xD their mirror versions of each other

(ima make my voice like rins >:] )

  • isnt it a nuclear fusion reactor?

  • Best Vocaloid song. Ever. No arguments.

  • Nah, Love is War's the best.

  • No.

  • Love is War is really good, but I personally enjoy the first two in the Daughter of Evil Trilogy, and the Kokoro/Kiseki mix. I always cry. ^_^

  • No,its definetley That one where she sings ALL the songs. :D WTF IS CALLED?! grrr i think its like Nico Nico allstars,or something. :3

  • I believe the song you mean is フルみっくで ニコニコ動画流星群 完成版

You should be able to find it if you C&P that into the search. I can also email it if you want the mp3. Just send me a message with your email! ^_^

  • Lol,I have the mp3,but thanks anyway :D

  • i got this on my mp3, and it's AWESOME.

    thanks for the subs. AWESOME

  • what is a fusion reactor exatly?

  • It's something like a nuclear reactor...

just pretend it's fission, since I'ma guessing it's on Earth. >.>
