I read a very long MIT analysis of arms spending once. Despite being a war-funded university, they made the point clear that military spending is not good for the economy.
That may be debatable, but its considered that military spending generates several times fewer jobs per dollar than civilian spending.

This is your best example of government run health care. The Government stop reimbursing providers the full cost of the care they provided, paying only 80% of what they think it should cost. Where were the providers going to make up that LOSE?

Just last week on Fox News there was a news report that was shown where one of the anchors visited Gov. Palin last April at her home. Her husband and youngest daughter were there as well. She showed her obviously pregnant belly on camera. The woman is in very good shape physically and did not get real big. I heard her refer to her baby as beautiful and perfect. I read a very long MIT analysis of arms spending once. Despite being a war-funded university, they made the point clear that military spending is not good for the economy.
That may be debatable, but its considered that military spending generates several times fewer jobs per dollar than civilian spending.

It's fine? Are you joking? I hope you don't get sick - that's our insurance policy in this country. The government won't run the health care system - they should and will run the health care insurance system. No one is advocating for government run hospitals and doctors, but the way things are paid for needs to change. The government needs to cover our asses instead of doing things like, say, sending billions in aid the Republic of Georgia.

The countries that didn't support us knew it was bloody oil war from the beginning. I did not have time to find your other comment so I will answer here. The government screwed up health care when THEY promised free health care to seniors called "Medicare". This is your best example of government run health care. The Government stop reimbursing providers the full cost of the care they provided, paying only 80% of what they think it should cost. Where were the providers going to make up that LOSE?

Yes, Medicare is the best example of government run health care. I'd be interested in researching more about this 20% shortfall. I wonder if that occurred under the Bush regime? If so, it's quite obvious that a governmental program run by people that want to destroy government isn't going to work very well. They want to make the government look bad so they push privatization of everything, including and up to the military of this country (see: Blackwater).

Actually, an even better example of the government running actual health care is the veteran's health care system. Be careful, you are letting your hatred of President Bush cloud your thinking. No, Medicare has been a problem from it's very beginning. The government does very few things well. They promised the old people free health care and then could not actually pay for it.
