Rules/Consequences, Grace (Parents/Teens)

I'm not a parent,but I'vebeen a substitute "Mom" a few times.Yesterday, I made a painful choice for both me and a 10 yr.-old child;she is no longer welcome in my home.Time and again she has broken, lied, and hidden broken items, granted not of great value.I don't like deceit;she is well aware of that.I don't yell/lecture.I think too much "grace" is a lie, just a free pass over & over w/o consequences.That's not life.Often, talk is just cheap.Life must speak & that's hard not to listen to.

@starbugster Im 14 years old and at 12 years old my mom almost did the same thing not cause i broke anything its because the arguments got physical...i started going to some counceling and my family and i barely fights anymore and when we do it doesn't last very long my mom has gotten more strict with punishments and taking things away good luck with her though.
