at 2:01 im pretty sure nobody was lookin at his cauliflower ear but at his fucked up face. like if u went to 2:10 and looked at his face and not the ear
i have been wrestling from the age of five bith ears are jacked. i love it. i worked hard to get it and people that know what it is understand. its very painful. its my trophy.
This younger generation is going to be pissed at how retarded they look later on down the road when the fad of HUGE earrings and MMA is GONE! Once they realize that they arent going to get rich and famous and that they are STUPID for wasting so much time and energy ruining their bodies chasing a dream that leads NOWHERE! WAKE UP 15-25 year olds!
@XA2I3RX ? people have dreams some people want to be football players, some people want to be doctors, some people want to be mma fighters who cares man. and if you drain it regularly it doesn't look like that. these are the people who have never drained there ears.
@carlsongracieteam I know dude, I know it's really big right now, but at the rate things are going, there is going to be a generation of people who got absolutely nowhere in life because they chased their dream to be a professional MMA fighter. Not saying a handful of people won't make it, but honestly, what do they get if they make it besides ridiculous dental bills other injuries? A few days on Spike TV? I am not saying don't dream, I guess i'm just saying dream for something that matters!
@XA2I3RX umm they get 75000 thousand dollars a fight support for there family and they will be able to live out there dream. what do you mean what do they get besides dental bills you rarely see a mma fighter ever lose teeth they all wear high tech mouthguard that cost nearly 100 bucks. all pro mma organizations provide there fighters with insurance also... so even if they go to the dentist or hospital it is paid for. just like if a nfl player gets a concussion...
@XA2I3RX I dont know what your dream is but you obviously didnt chase it and you probably have a typical do the same thing every day life which is fine and dandy but many people make it to pro mma. just because you dont make it to the ufc doesnt mean you dont make it big there are many big organizations where fighters make 30k+ a fight, wec, shooto, dream, strikeforce, and of course the ufc just to name a few, if someone is determined enough they can surely go pro in at least one organization.
I have a full time job, a good one too. I also train 6 days a week. I fight. So? I'm wasting my life? Cause I have a dream? I also have a career. If my MMA career gets me somewhere, awesome. If not, I can teach people what I have learned, I also still have my job. Being in the fight game, you meet all kinds of people. You see all sorts of things. FIGHTING is a SMALL part of it. Get off your couch.
Didn't hurt my feelings at all. I just think you should re-evaluate your life, and debate on weather or not you should end it. Theres a lot of people in the world who would rather you dead, i'm sure.
fuck damnt it me to i started to have but yo know this is ain't ballai this is mma this is for mens a true warrior sport who cares if i have fuck it man !! ..
I traink BJJ and used to wrestle. For Bjj i dont like using headger cause u cna get caught in chokes easier. But a lil trick put vaseline on your ear prior to training live. NOw headgear is the best preventive care but if you dont wanna wear headgear try the vaseline
for everyone confuse as to why these guys don't get it "fixed", it's because after you get it drained and bandaged up, you have to stop training for atleast two weeks. that doesn't fly well with most people. you can wear head gear but it's really uncomfortable and for bjj, can help the opponent in getting a submission. yes boxers can get it but it's mostly from constant rubbing pressure found in wrestling, judo, and brazilian jiu-jitsu. the best advice, just deal with it.
Well its most likely 1 of 3 things. 1 your being taken down spending sum time on your stomach getting cranked in power half so when you turn your face over the bone in his forearm is digging into your ear. 2.Your working hard blasting thru on your double legs cutting the corner good digging in with you ear. Lastly 3 you tying up alot being a rookie & when in collar tie 1 of u isnt going ear to ear & digging his head into your ear cause they say ear to ear is queer (lil inside wrestling joke)
that and i guess the easiest possiblity is you arent wearing your head gear in practice. Im sure its one of these things if not then idk youve been blessed with good ears and you get to walk around having girls go omg eww wtf is wrong with your ear. DONT DO WHAT I DID!!! DONT DRAIN IT LATER ON IN LIFE YOU'LL BE LIKE GAWD DAMN IT WHY DID I DO THAT
@Freestyleartclub Simple.....simple....wear wrestling head gear...not the kind that the ear pieaces are shitty plastic that can bend in and touch your ear....or if its swollen to the point that pretty much all head gear rub against just wrap the ear pieace like a million times with athletic tape and then cut out the inside so you can fit your big ass ear in it... that way itll add extra cushion creating space for the ear... oh yea and drain it....like every day.....
@shms58 see a doctor about taking care of it NOW, BEFORE it hardens and you have to go thru the crap like i1wingedangel said, later in life! LOL It's not fun, pretty, OR CHEAP! :-) Best of luck in your mat life, and keep training!!!
This isn't going to heal or simply go away in a while. With ears like this, do yo think they might have suffered some, maybe just a little brain damage? Pugilist dementia is an injury postponed. There was a time when it took a professional prize fighter a career to accumulate injuries like this.
It never goes away. You can also get it from SOLELY wrestling and never being hit, Just think: how many Pro Boxers do you see with it? I'd recommend a little more than book knowledge before commenting.
I'm not a doctor but I wrestled in high school form 85-88 and have been training SINCE. I have dealt with my own cauli ear and been around it most of my life.
How many times have you been punched in the head since 1988? I'm sure your training involves not being punch in the head. I can assure you there is no training regimen that can equip you for being punched in the head. If your ears were anything other that bruised they would still look like balloons. Frankly, it's not their ears, it's what's going on between them that concerns me. being "punchy" means more than not being able to dress yourself and peeing your pants in public.
ppl definitely dont want it lol..it happens from being punched and/or kicked in the ear repeatedly, it causes fluid or a blood clot to happen in the ear, and if not removed by means of a syringe or razor, it swells up, and the damage is permanent.
It depends I trained about 20 hours for 2 months and got it. The guy I was training with did jiu jitsu for several years and never got it so it depends. You are one of the lucky ones I guess. Still, if you see it forming have it drained ASAP
...it was blocking my ear canal. When I pulled the bottom of my ear away it sounded like I was listening in stereo and when I let go and let it block my ear canal it sounded like mono. it just depends, i've been trainin mma for 3 months and have really bad cauliflower ears but someone in my class has been doin judo since he was six and has never had them
na it doesnt effect hearing i need ppl with the worst cauliflower ear than some of these mma fighters and wrestlers but they can still hear but their ear looks nasty as fuck
I train Muay Thai and I ice mine all the time, so they look fine not bad as compare to lot of other guys I train with. But both my ears have weird boney bumps on the back side of my ears. I have been told that they are calcium deposits.
Hahaa... my right ear is just starting to take affect & I don't have any medical coverage here lol... oh well.
It must suck to REALLY have a bad case of cauliflower, but it comes with the sport so you better have Passion & Love for what your doing... if not, there's always Golf & Bowling lol.
i got myn drained and im a freshman in highschool,i wanted it to look tught and so i looked intimmidating but once i got it it sukked,i had to were head gear evry time i wrestled and it hurt,,my ear looked like a tortilini now and its hard and not flexible..getting it draind dosnt work if ur just gunna gio and train with no head gear right after,u gotta take a break after gewttin it drained.

yea bro just smash your ear on something hard or grind it on something hard. Like shoot a double leg and have your partner throw his hip bone in to your ear or if you just want it bad enough lay down and have a teammate punch your ear
