  • Great little trucks, albeit uglier than the '07 diesel model...don't think the double cab looks right w that tiny box...

  • i like the old ranger better

  • Wow the side mirrors arent squared anymore looks hella ugly

  • Dont buy it, it aint made in America no more :o(

  • No wonder, it's British.. All Euro cars are Shit, especially British. This is a prime example.

  • looks like a jap car... lets go back to the 90's oh yeah.

  • @wiggster1080 thats because it is a joint venture with mazda

the mazda BT 50 is uglier though

im with you on going back to the 90's a far better look

  • @wiggster1080 lol your funny whoever you are

  • @CurlThe64 im not sure who i am, i've been trying to figure out that since i hit my head of that thing over yonder.....thing o.0

  • F this thing anyways..I was hoping they keep the current platform and drop in one of their new fuel effecient engines..Bummer..

  • It's practically a Bt-50

  • nice overview, thanks for sharing

  • wtf i thought in america they stop making them in december 2011?!

  • @chillywinter16 We did. Only British people would drive something this shitty.

  • new platform ?????

  • my dad got this car

  • @MissKuriosity oh btw, i dont think the new global ranger has been released yet to the public

  • @MissKuriositypretty sure of it! i know the global ranger was brought to the states for testing and trying what it can and cant do.i also know that in 2013 or 2014 the U.S. Canada and Mexico will be getting a new ranger replacement, F100 in 3 models and new engines.

  • this is off roadin to yall? hahaha off road is doggin it through a mud hole and gettin stuck ot takin it oussy slow through a little stream

  • This is for a different country.... Probably Australia

  • Total**

  • If they bring this to America and I were to totally my 2003 ranger then I would just pay the price to get it fixed...I would never buy such a pansy looking truck...I think most people are with me when I say we buy a truck for a truck not to own some sort of Asian car with an open trunk.

  • man my 93 is way nicer these look so pussy no aggressive lines in the styling at all.

  • It now has a Four door version? Mine is and 05 and its only the extended cab.

  • Why did they have to make it look like a cross between a Nissan Frontier and Toyota Tacoma. I am a die hard Ford guy and Ranger fan, but I am afraid this design will get them more criticism than praise. I like the previous design 10 times better, regardless of the fact it was introduced in 1993. Don't do it Ford! Americans would rather see a tougher looking Explorer Sport Trac than a pansy looking Japanese copy. Ford has never had to look up to the Japs for anything. Why start now?

  • Finally ,a new ranger ,the last one in the U.S was essentially the same since 1980

ford retooled and have a new slogan (ONE FORD) which means we get the euro versions ie; ford focus but they will probably have rev limiters ,the new focus rs in europe rivals the cosworth escort (my dream car)

  • @mike82871 the rangers aint coming to the U.S and Canada

  • its a ford it lasts forever and it doesnt need a bailout hehehehehe my ranger beats anything and its not even tricked out lol its strait out of shop in 1998 lol

  • Doesn't look mean enough. This is my first dislike of a youtube video. :(

  • LMAO.... whats this the Ford Frontier or the Nissan Ranger????

  • it would'nt last long in australia looks like a pussy

  • Looked better in pictures :S I guess i'm getting an Amarok after all.

  • That isn't new ford ranger!

New Ford Ranger have 2.2 and 3.2 liter diesel engine with 150 ps and 200 ps and 2.5 liter benzene engine with 166 ps.

  • Not a bad looking truck but not the typical ford ranger look but it does have the f-150 tail lights and it does look like a Nissan from the side but still a nice truck

  • Ford should let the asians do the asian look

  • there is one thing totally wrong here the steerin wheel is on the wrong side which also means the shifter is on ur left what is Ford Thinking ? I am totally dis appointed,.... also I must agree with another comment this truck looks too much like the nissan it very ugly In my opinion Ford ur screwing up! I wouldnt buy on I have a 2006 Ranger and its much better lookin sorry Ford ur going in the wrong direction for sure,...

  • there is one thing totally wrong here the steerin wheel is on the wrong side which also means the shifter is on ur left what is Ford Thinking ? I am totally dis appointed,....

  • Looks like a Nissan Titan fucked a Ford Focus.

  • same dude, this truck is fugly

  • they bring this to america and I'll kill myself.

  • @uberwut ? huh

  • @daytonite122 this ranger is ugly. The interior and power train is alright but that outside looks cheap and not like a truck

  • Small trucks like this are fun to mess with and customize! Thats why we need these trucks.

  • I like it, but i think it would look better with offroad tires.

  • quad cab is pointless....then there's practically no bed

  • you never put more than 4 doors on a ford ranger thats like putting 4 doors on a lamborghini

  • no need for a wildtrak.too tarty.double cab XLT is all you'll need.don't forget it's a working vehicle not a car.

  • i wish we could get a diesel ranger in the us

  • cuando llegaria a colombia??

  • ESLA MISMA MAZDA BT 50

  • No thanks, I like my 200+ HP 4.0 4x4

  • it is a fucking mazda bt-50 of 2 years ago

  • Comment removed

  • is ugly as shit, looks like it was designed by hyundai

  • aaawwww man its soooooo ugly pleezzzz kill it, kill it with fire.

  • totally expected way more from ford with the new model. i mean look at the new f150. thats a sick truck! asthetically this truck looks like it had less balls than a butterfly.

  • i REALLY want a diesel ranger, why dosnt the us have one?

i'd love an ute as well, but they dont have those either.

  • The current model Ranger is by far better looking. A truck should have sharp lines that make it look like it could take a beating just sitting there. This has the lines of a minivan. Not good Ford, not good at all...

  • My God ! what is that? This looks japanese. i want a Ranger with american style

  • @CaptainScarlet2006 haha... I agree !

  • @superyusrie Interior is not that bad tho. ;)

  • @CaptainScarlet2006 you are too right

  • @CaptainScarlet2006 i agree to

  • this new ranger looks retarded in my opinion

  • @metalfab16 Totally agree

  • why is it that we americans drive from the left but every where else they drive from the right???

  • @charkee167 all the countrys drive from the left side but in england cyprus japan and a few others we are driving from the right side (british way of driving as we all are british colonies.) we also drivfe on the "wrong side" of the road....that means we use the left side of the road instead of the right one like you do.....

  • I don't like them. I am glad they aren't selling in America. We can stick with our F-150's

  • @Hummers222 i agree, they look like toyotas and we dont need to make trucks that look like their shit

  • @aslugger07 yeah, the new ranger looks like a japanese truck. not american

  • looks like an older nissan frontier

  • i hope we don't get this version in the states. i bet it's just a rebadged toyota. the one we have right now looks good as is. i've owned a `98 and an `05 ranger (traided the '05 for a '08 f-150. the f-150 got better gas mileage) but both were tough as nails and could handle just about anything you could throw at them. within reason of course.

  • @pchamberlain Nop, it is not any rebadged Toyota....It is a 100% Ford Model, FYI. It is sold in Europe, Asia, and Latin America, Why? Because we do know what is a pick up like this for. We do know what a diesel engine can do that a huge inefficient gasoline engine cant. This Pick up does not compete with F-150, that another league, so please stop looking for an unfair comparison to set your bland arguments. Read a little bit more about Ford Motors outside US, you'll be amazed.

  • It looks like a cross between a FRontier and Tacoma... That wildtrak is UGLY.

However; the benefits of having a design around for so long as the current American Ranger is its reliability, a design thats been around so long has all the kinks worked out...

  • Got an 06 2,5 tdi 4x2 supercab and a 08 3.0 duratorque 4x4 both in supercab. Nice pickups but I still like the 2.5 more...

Mechanical fuelpump etc wich I think will last longer. They dont have as much power but I tiik it to SAC "a tuner in south africa" now the 2,5 is sweet....

Its a bummer why they dont got them in the US. It is the perfect small sized pickup.... You dont need a 6+ litre diesel every day

  • it's the same as the 4trax but with Mazda type body for the Australia and asia and Japan markets... so the America's north and south have the same body type.

  • UGLY! Keep it over there!

  • Those look like Ford Explorer Sport Tracs in the US.

  • I don't understand why Ford sends its best Rangers overseas...

A true crew cab ranger would do very well in the states.

  • @ALoveEternal consumption is 7,8 l of diesel per 100 km!!! But americans prefer gasoline engines)..

  • @alexrusriazan

Diesels aren't as available here, that's all. The 2.3 Duratec with the 5 speed manual can get mpgs in the high 20 and even low 30s.

  • @ALoveEternal Sorry for interest, how many does a fuel cost in US? Maybe, all is explained by this? In Russia petrol costs 0,8 dollar for a litre (3,6 for a gallon), diesel - 0,7 (3,2). Quality, honestly, is not good(

By the way, driving Ranger for 1,5 years, all OK, pass thanks to Ford)

  • @alexrusriazan

Right now it's around 2.6 dollars per gallon near me, but it really depends where you live. And diesel is more expensive, like .20 or so. Quality depends on where you get it from, but the difference between cheap fuel and good fuel is only like .05 cents.

  • foreign rangers look like a toyota tacoma, car, nissan titan ugly mix hybrid lol

  • The bodystile on this looks horrible

  • You'll have to wait till the 2012 models come out.... Ford was testing in my area this past winter, check out my user page....

  • when are they going to sell em in the U.S??? please the u.s needs these badass trucks man

  • dont they also have 2 door extended cab?

  • @Invisiblepanda They have 2 door "rap cab" too. But it is less functional

  • nice car

  • Why don't we have this Ranger in America?!

  • @daytonite122 That's a VERY good question. Ford has always sold crew cab Rangers and newer designs in every other country but the U.S. That is so strange.

  • @kentuckyboi777 The same happens in Brazil and Argentina. The new Ranger is avaiable in every other countries but these 3.

  • @daytonite122 because the f-series owns this piece of shit

  • @superduperzipz So, because of the F-Series, we have the Ranger we have here in the states? That makes no sense.

  • @daytonite122 Well i guess Ford don't see any point selling another truck in the US when they have the F-series in the states already, in Europe we don't have the F-Series only the Ranger.

  • @superduperzipz Well, then, Ford can replace this Ranger with the Ranger we have here. I would love to have a four door Ford Ranger

  • @daytonite122 why not buy a f 150 four door?

  • @superduperzipz Ranger can get in tighter spots in Portland than the F-150; most parking garages' height clearance are 6' 10". And better gas mileage.

  • @daytonite122 I see, makes sense. I'm thinking of buying a f 150 from the states and bringing it back to Europe.

  • @daytonite122 dont understand why some people cant understand the benefits of a smaller truck, any fullsize truck where i live is basically a pain to maneuver on our smaller roads with tighter curves not to mention parking lots and to be honest smaller trucks are better off road for the same reason, can squeeze through tight spots better than the long heavy wide fullsize trucks, i have the '03 versin of this Ranger and its a sweet truck!

  • @flenny I know! That's why I bought it! Ground clearance is fantastic. Hey, did you hear that Ford will replace the Ford Ranger? I guess 2010 is its last year and it will be replaced by the F-100, since every one is pretty much switched to the Midsize category and leaving the Compact one.

  • @daytonite122 lucky we'll still get the ranger, i live in jamaica and the compact trucks out number fullsize atleast 10-1 mainly due to size and fuel economy (most are small turbo diesels) we get the model shown in this vid sold alongside the american version at our ford dealership here, i have the 03 model..vids on my page

  • @daytonite122 because north american dealerships know you have the money and they want you to buy the full size f 150.. its the best selling truck in north america for the last 30 years but rumours state the f-100 will be back so we should be seeing something similar to this ranger soon

  • @level2seven Uh, I didn't have the money to buy the F-150. Most of the people that drive F-150 are farmers that have a lot of money. But for a regular guy like me, Rangers all the way. And 15,000 dollars cheaper too

  • @daytonite122 Uh, you are too smart.. yes I am a farmer (not) and so are the 500,000 people who purchased one of these in 2009?! thats a lot of farmers if you ask me its unfortunate that you didnt have the money...

  • @level2seven Uh, did you know how many people, between 2004-2009, traded their F-150s for Rangers? A lot! Uh, did you know Rangers can go any where and F-150s can't? I don't know where you live, but I live in a big city, so parking is a pain in the ass if you drive an F-150. And FYI the F-Series has been the best selling truck. Meaning all the trucks, Rangers to F-850s. And another FYI, out of the half ton trucks. the Dodge 1500 is the leading truck in the U.S. since 2006.

  • @daytonite122 That's a good question. But if they did bring it to the US, they would have to offer a gas engine or two. I'd say 3.5L DOHC V-6 and 5.0L DOHC V-8 engines in addition to the diesels would make for big sales numbers in the US. The current Ranger we have hasn't changed since 1993. That's rediculous!

  • @tjhaywood100 that would be awesome! Well, the Ranger is suppose to be done next year I guess. Now that every one has switched over to the Midsize category and left the compact one, the F-100 is suppose to be coming back!

  • @daytonite122 its coming in 2011 to Canada and America under the name "T-(somthing) Ranger"...Thank god, bout time we got the quad cab

  • @Magikkar oooooooohhhhh! This is awesome. Can't wait. I hope its better especially with the suspension and transmission. Finally, a quad cab. People stopped buying Rangers after like, 06. Same body style and interior while every one else had changed it up.

  • @Magikkar Ford XLT Trekker and thats even faster than Nissan 2010 Navara

  • @Magikkar Ford XLT Trekker and thats even faster than Nissan 2010 Navara...

i love it... that's only 5 gear and navara is 6 gear but thats even faster that it...which means its more faster than toyota and F-150..and fuel efficient not like that old style F-150..only good for oldies

  • @daytonite122 dude did u look at that crew cab seat?

maybe if u cut ur legs off you could fit back there!

it needs to be 6" longer inside

  • @jmanwild yeah, those shitty out of america Ranger crew cabs. But the new Rangers that are coming out that are Super Crews here in the states I'm sure will be roomy as the Tacoma and Dakota.

  • @jmanwild seats were all the way moved back. Check the video again at 1:20, you'll see there is more leg room.

  • @daytonite122 That is a good question. Ford desperately needs an updated Ranger in the US. The one we have now has been around since 1993. It's getting really old really fast.

  • @tjhaywood100 you undertand that with new updates models and ads comes more cost of the models so your new ranger would cost more they is nothing worng with it

  • @daytonite122 because sales are declining and the Ranger will be discontinued after 2011.

  • @undertake782 I'm ready for an upgrade! :) And wtf with that legacy1975 dude.

  • @daytonite122

We do, except it's called the Tacoma and it's made by Toyota.

  • @legacy1975 Uh, okay?

  • @daytonite122 Super late replay, but here in America it will sell in Argentina in this end of the year (remember AMERICA is a FULL CONTINENT) so next step is in United States and it will be in the first months of 2011.

  • @daytonite122 sadly Uncle sam doesn't like diesels and for the most part americans want full size trucks especially when it comes to interior room on these crew cab rangers they are a very tight fit even for someone like myself who is 5'6" although the diesels are actually quite powerful they can't really beat the 4.0 even in fuel economy

  • @aftoyboy these diesels will kill the 4.0 when it comes to fuel economy....the 2.9 n/a diesel in my present ranger gets roughly 38mpg and the 2.5 turbo diesel in my previous ranger got around 35mpg and thats averaged city/hwy

  • @flenny my apologies i actually got the engines mixed up yes the diesel will get way better fuel economy and pull a heavier load compare to the 4.0 i had a 99 ranger with the 4.0 and i averaged 10 MPG but there was something wrong with the truck in the first place

  • @aftoyboy no apologies needed, no offense taken

  • @daytonite122 they dont have this in north america because the car makers are a) retarded b) dont know that people enjoy diesel engines c) think that people want big gas sucking vehicles and are just now "grasping" that people want fuel efficiency when other countrys destroy. D) discontinuing the ranger cuz people dont buy enough of the small trucks, well if they had a diesel engine in it im surre it could be the size of a cardboard box and people would buy it because it has the engine in it.

  • @daytonite122 they dont have this in north america because the car makers are a) retarded b) dont know that people enjoy diesel engines c) think that people want big gas sucking vehicles and are just now "grasping" that people want fuel efficiency when other countrys destroy. • @broski6666 even though its funny that the ford ranger out sells all the compitition compine.. plus the ford exployer looks like this ranger

  • @daytonite122 because in america we prefer big trucks so ford is getting ride of the smalls ize truck

  • @daytonite122 cus most ppl want the F-150 250 350 450 and 550 in america

  • @daytonite122 you spoke to soon guess what there doing in 2012 :S XP

  • now looks like more than mazda bt 50
