Funny how goo hara was my least favorite out of season 1 but jiyoung is my favorite out of season 2.
Maybe because she is different from Hara? Is that why everyone is hating on jiyoung? Because she isn't like goo hara. I'll be looking forward to more episodes!
Jiyoung haters are really annoying. When she was getting the most screen time in the first few episodes, there was so much hate. Then no one said anything when she was off camera. She was hardly in this episode but wins the challenge and people are hating on her again. I hate to point fingers, but there's clearly a bias in these comments section for you know who. Stop being immature guys.
Jiyoung keep harping on the fact that the Village Chief likes Sunny. She is so jealous of Sunny and in Ep 11 she tries very hard to be cute like Sunny but fails miserably and I am sure many of us find her really annoying. Sunny is loved by many because she is NATURALLY cute and loveable.
@mrbob320 TQ. I hope the PD of IY2 gets all these feedback and if he wants IY2 to be as popular as IY season 1, he should give Sunny more screentime. If you watch SNSD and Dangerous Boys, Sunny really liven up the show with her natural acting and cuteness. Goo Hara is way much better than her fellow member.
i dont get understand what are you talking about, the girls are fun! they have their own personality. what i dont like is the mc, i like boom oppa a lot, but i dont really like hyunwoo. he doesnt seem to be on reality show, maybe if boom are partner with leeteuk or myungsoo or mun heejun or tony would be better.. you can see from all episode that hyunwoo is taking everything so serious.. :p
I love this season also. Atcually all the girls were funny but it just got awkward when the Chief and Ha-Dragon ? lol didn't laugh XD Woori and Jiyoung haha yay they won! Lol poor Yewon.
I laughed so hard at Hyoyeon's part..especially at 1:00,and 'Mother Father' at 1:10.She's trying to mimic the American Street Hip Hop gangster right?Wonder why Ha-ryong only gave her only 1 corn when he's laughing non-stop during her part..
What i'm saying is the hosts were great in initiating. If the task was too boring, they'll organize a impromptu game(lying game, eating peppers..) until the casts were really bonded and they themselves can make the show. The MCs were good at pitching, the casts could just swing and hit it out of the ballpark.
Saying that, the previous casts were just great too. You can't plan that chemistry. It's lighting in a bottle kind of thing.
I agree that a large part of the success of G7 was the MC. Let's face it, first episode of season one, the cast were really awkward in the bus ride and remember when Hyuna came back for rice harvest, she was so shy to the new cast. The MCs has this "warm" attitude to them, even if you don't count Shinyoung, who is already close to some of the girls when the show started, Taewoo was having so much fun with them, even village chief has this warm father figure to him.
Thanks for great subbing and video quality. I also miss a little of the "humanity" from G7.
They really should have girls in the show working more together and less "forced" humour and gags.
But even G7 was a bit slow at start.
And a lot more is at stake for these girls because both them and their managers know what impact this show can have on their career. It's a very narrow path and difficult to navigate. I like the show, and again thanks for subbing.

You have no real reason except "There's no chemistry. This totally fails" to criticize them, when there's so many other things wrong. Unfortunately I have to agree that the choice of components did not work! Maybe it's the MC's who can not avail themselves of such intimacies like Shinyoung was able to explore and play more in participation. Invincible youth was lost shortly after the exit and Hyun of SNSD, but still had a good time by the charisma of individual new members. In IY 2 (I support program), but is in need of a UP. Bring the charisma of a G7 pogram sometimes or highlight in popularity as Heroes. Its hour to change.

To be honest, this episode is proof that a kind of family chemistry is needed to make the show good. That guest had more chemistry with the girls than the 3 men. He came across a lot more likable, but you can't blame it all on the hosts. The format of the show is not really about youths being self-sufficient is it? They'd bond more if they were doing outdoor activities rather than indoor variety games.
This has been lingering in my head. I just don't get why are they calling the MCs samchons? Hyunwoo(1984) and Boom(1982) are younger than Narsha by 3 n 1 yrs respectively. Narsha a "neemo"? There is only 5 yrs diff between the 89ers n Hyunwoo which is also the diff between the maknaes and the 89ers. So should suzy n jiyoung call Sunny etc "Neemo"?. Can someone clear this up for me. It's just seemed unnatural for me esp outside the program they call of them oppas (:
Everyone expected so much from the second season of IY that it was almost impossible to live up to the fan's expectations.
Kun Taewoo established himself as a personality in the first episode whereas Hyunwoo is practically invisible. He is the new Hyomin in terms of being edited out.
I'm hopeful it'll get better though. Yewon seems like fun. So does Hyoyeon. Jiyoung is adorable and Sunny is still Sunny.
These girls meet each other so often on other shows, so time to bond is not an excuse. In IY1, they were already pranking Taewoo n Narsha by the end of ep2. They already teased Sunhwa n Hyomin about being edited out in ep 3. Compare Kimchi making eps IY1 (e5) IY2(e6). Big difference entertainment wise, doing the samething, n G7 did it out inthecold. Even frm first few eps, G7 alrdy look like longtime highschool friends. Mothers n now this. Prducers r obviously desperate n pressured by higherups
Chemistry cant be forced. Either u have it or don't. Don't blame to producers. It's already ep 9, these girls are not meant for each other. They probably did give them some freetime to bond and stuff but probably edited out. The staff arent stupid, they are professionals. G8 is getting worst and off-course. This is a desperate attempt to make the show funny. After this, more criticism will come out of korea. Their standards for variety are world class. Sunny must've wished for G7 to comeback

But have to give props to Shinyoung I will go as far as to say she definitely made IY and G7.She was a big reason everyone developed their nicknames and personas and were comfortable making fun of each other and stuff the only ones I think are genuinly funny are Hyoyeon, Sunny, Woori, and Yewon the others are trying too hard. @blizzard217 Sure, Shinyoung was important. But if u recall, G7 were always split into two groups. The group without SY was still funny as hell. In ep10(Xmas), i didn't even realize SY wasn't there till she came later (more than halfway thru the ep). Don't get me wrong, I love SY to death, but G7 can hold their own. G7 casting was a miracle fluke. It's hearsay now but G7 would do much better with the same MCs. They probably would have told Boom he's annoying to his face etc. XD
@fariz8888 It's kinda scary that you can recall all the episodes like that lol.....But I still disagree these MCs are really lacking Taewoo and Shinyoung normally initiated any type of entertainment that happened...Boom is the only good one and that one guy is a mute.. But you are right haha it was definitely a fluke everyone in G7 seemed to pair up with one other person on the show who they were able to be extremely funny with.
@fariz8888 It's still too early to say whether the G8 will be successful or not, or that's what I think. They are progressing at a relatively slower pace than the G7, that's for sure and I agree with you on that one. Other than that my only complain about IY2 so far is Hyunwoo. He lacks the characteristics to be an entertaining MC. Kept me thinking sine the first episode on why he was chosen to be one of the MC.

In G7 there was, and it was Narsha. Because of Narsha, the other girls also went along and be crazy with her. Therefore making G7 so successful. I guess in this IY2 , the person who needs to be the crazy one should be Amber. So the save IY2
gotta agree with you (on the description). spending night together, making and eating dinner together, does make it feel like they're real family - like the one in IY.

This is hilarious but a huge pity, the original MCs were better. I miss Shinyoung the most, and th new village chief has like no expression whatsoever. Though i'm starting to grow into the new G8, but mainly watching on because of SNSD and KARA :D

Boom is the only one I would keep around MC wise, if Jaesuk wasn't doing Running Man I would say bring him in and bring back Shinyoung, Hyunwoo is just too boring and quiet. Also you have to bring Narsha, Sunhwa and Hyomin back for guest appearances. I think the current girls are doing good, Hyoyeon, Jiyoung and Yewon are coming out of their shells which is good. Sunny is the only experienced one. The other girls not mentioned will need more time. This show will be successful, It'll take time.
What they don't seem to realize is it was not just the idol girls themselves that made the 1st IY great, it was Shinyoung that tied it all together. Without her the show is kinda... dull. and all of what is supposed to be the funny parts seems.. like they're trying to hard. Shinyoung! plz come back! lol
Somehow it's just not that 'welcoming' to see that village chief whenever on cam. Like he's been a total let down to the show. Always too serious. Probably not fond to being infront of camera. This episode was really good, best one so far IMO. Reminded me of IY season 1. The previous eps ones were kinda.. less entertaining. Really looking forward to the next ep. And I'm hoping Hyun woo will find a character some how. Amber's the foreigner but even she gets screen time! He didn't say a word since the beginning! Lol scriptwriters, give him some lines please, I feel bad for him.
I realy miss kim shinyoung though, I agree they need more time to build chemistry. Also in the first series they did more rural stuff, it was interesting and funny. I think they had a much better cast in the first season, the first season i used to laugh out loud nearly every episode. It used to be a really heart warming show. Oh well i will keep watching and hope they build a better chemistry with each other. But i really miss kim shinyoung she was a perfect fit :)
I was hoping they were gonna really let go of their idol image and be truly funny. Best for me is sunny for not breaking character all throughout. Big props for woori for her costume. All of them had the potential. They had the look, but a little more nudge to really let go, and bring the funny
@HeArTsDiESuBs I agree with your description that a female comedian was a good thing for the girls and for the show in Season 1 - I thought Tae Woo was a pretty good host too, whereas Hyun Woo is basically nonexistent. It would have been cool if they had someone like Shin Bongsun or someone like that for Season 2. I don't think Shinyoung can come back - isn't she dealing with some serious health issues right now?
I'm also Mexican living in America, hah...not too many of us enjoy this stuff.

Honestly though I think they need to start making these girls work, all they do is goof off all the time. and I think if they brought Shin Young back then the show would be funny again, Boom and the rest just aren't able to carry the show on their own :/

Unfortunately I have to agree that the choice of components did not work! Maybe it's the MC's who can not avail themselves of such intimacies like Shinyoung was able to explore and play more in participation. Invincible youth was lost shortly after the exit and Hyun of SNSD, but still had a good time by the charisma of individual new members. In IY 2 (I support program), but is in need of a UP. Bring the charisma of a G7 pogram sometimes or highlight in popularity as Heroes. Its hour to change.

To be honest, this episode is proof that a kind of family chemistry is needed to make the show good. That guest had more chemistry with the girls than the 3 men. He came across a lot more likable, but you can't blame it all on the hosts. The format of the show is not really about youths being self-sufficient is it? They'd bond more if they were doing outdoor activities rather than indoor variety games.

This has been lingering in my head. I just don't get why are they calling the MCs samchons? Hyunwoo(1984) and Boom(1982) are younger than Narsha by 3 n 1 yrs respectively. Narsha a "neemo"? There is only 5 yrs diff between the 89ers n Hyunwoo which is also the diff between the maknaes and the 89ers. So should suzy n jiyoung call Sunny etc "Neemo"?. Can someone clear this up for me. It's just seemed unnatural for me esp outside the program they call of them oppas (:

Everyone expected so much from the second season of IY that it was almost impossible to live up to the fan's expectations.
Kun Taewoo established himself as a personality in the first episode whereas Hyunwoo is practically invisible. He is the new Hyomin in terms of being edited out.
I'm hopeful it'll get better though. Yewon seems like fun. So does Hyoyeon. Jiyoung is adorable and Sunny is still Sunny.

These girls meet each other so often on other shows, so time to bond is not an excuse. In IY1, they were already pranking Taewoo n Narsha by the end of ep2. They already teased Sunhwa n Hyomin about being edited out in ep 3. Compare Kimchi making eps IY1 (e5) IY2(e6). Big difference entertainment wise, doing the samething, n G7 did it out inthecold. Even frm first few eps, G7 alrdy look like longtime highschool friends. Mothers n now this. Prducers r obviously desperate n pressured by higherups

Chemistry cant be forced. Either u have it or don't. Don't blame to producers. It's already ep 9, these girls are not meant for each other. They probably did give them some freetime to bond and stuff but probably edited out. The staff arent stupid, they are professionals. G8 is getting worst and off-course. This is a desperate attempt to make the show funny. After this, more criticism will come out of korea. Their standards for variety are world class. Sunny must've wished for G7 to comeback

@fariz8888 I kind of agree their chemistry is low and they're all trying to be funny individually not together. But have to give props to Shinyoung I will go as far as to say she definitely made IY and G7.She was a big reason everyone developed their nicknames and personas and were comfortable making fun of each other and stuff the only ones I think are genuinly funny are Hyoyeon, Sunny, Woori, and Yewon the others are trying too hard. No Bias I love all their groups especially fx <3

@blizzard217 Sure, Shinyoung was important. But if u recall, G7 were always split into two groups. The group without SY was still funny as hell. In ep10(Xmas), i didn't even realize SY wasn't there till she came later (more than halfway thru the ep). Don't get me wrong, I love SY to death, but G7 can hold their own. G7 casting was a miracle fluke. It's hearsay now but G7 would do much better with the same MCs. They probably would have told Boom he's annoying to his face etc. XD

But you are right haha it was definitely a fluke everyone in G7 seemed to pair up with one other person on the show who they were able to be extremely funny with.

@fariz8888 It's still too early to say whether the G8 will be successful or not, or that's what I think. They are progressing at a relatively slower pace than the G7, that's for sure and I agree with you on that one. Other than that my only complain about IY2 so far is Hyunwoo. He lacks the characteristics to be an entertaining MC. Kept me thinking sine the first episode on why he was chosen to be one of the MC.

In G7 there was, and it was Narsha. Because of Narsha, the other girls also went along and be crazy with her. Therefore making G7 so successful. I guess in this IY2 , the person who needs to be the crazy one should be Amber. So the save IY2

Boom is the only one I would keep around MC wise, if Jaesuk wasn't doing Running Man I would say bring him in and bring back Shinyoung, Hyunwoo is just too boring and quiet. Also you have to bring Narsha, Sunhwa and Hyomin back for guest appearances. I think the current girls are doing good, Hyoyeon, Jiyoung and Yewon are coming out of their shells which is good. Sunny is the only experienced one. The other girls not mentioned will need more time. This show will be successful, It'll take time.

What they don't seem to realize is it was not just the idol girls themselves that made the 1st IY great, it was Shinyoung that tied it all together. Without her the show is kinda... dull. and all of what is supposed to be the funny parts seems.. like they're trying to hard. Shinyoung! plz come back! lol

Somehow it's just not that 'welcoming' to see that village chief whenever on cam. Like he's been a total let down to the show. Always too serious. Probably not fond to being infront of camera. This episode was really good, best one so far IMO. Reminded me of IY season 1. The previous eps ones were kinda.. less entertaining. Really looking forward to the next ep. And I'm hoping Hyun woo will find a character some how. Amber's the foreigner but even she gets screen time! He didn't say a word since the beginning! I realy miss kim shinyoung though, I agree they need more time to build chemistry. Also in the first series they did more rural stuff, it was interesting and funny. I think they had a much better cast in the first season, the first season i used to laugh out loud nearly every episode. It used to be a really heart warming show. Oh well i will keep watching and hope they build a better chemistry with each other. But i really miss kim shinyoung she was a perfect fit :)

I was hoping they were gonna really let go of their idol image and be truly funny. Best for me is sunny for not breaking character all throughout. Big props for woori for her costume. All of them had the potential. They had the look, but a little more nudge to really let go, and bring the funny

@HeArTsDiESuBs I agree with your description that a female comedian was a good thing for the girls and for the show in Season 1 - I thought Tae Woo was a pretty good host too, whereas Hyun Woo is basically nonexistent. It would have been cool if they had someone like Shin Bongsun or someone like that for Season 2. I don't think Shinyoung can come back - isn't she dealing with some serious health issues right now?
I'm also Mexican living in America, hah...not too many of us enjoy this stuff.
