@mohkfry The other ones that do work for now are Taft School, Vernor school, 7 mile and ryan, Engine 47 (the one I recorded already) There may be a few others, but how much longer the old will work with the new is not certin.
Nothing better than a good ole T-Bolt...unless you're deaf as a post, you'll hear them for sure...and if you're too close you might be deaf as a post!!
That's the first Tbolt I've ever heard of that was mounted through the roof with the blower inside the building...I bet that blower is extremely loud in there.
@97Siren I have DetroitCivil Defense Inventory Purchase records for about 6000 items, In that group I have records for 14 of the 41 sirens installed from 1956-1972, and 12 of the chrysler sirens from 1952
@el1998p71 I see. Maybe it was ordered that way or fitted with a dual tone chipper when they did the Y2K fixes. Either, way this siren is a beautiful sounding 1000T. It sounded so smooth from where I was at. It carried better than the 2001-SRNB that's on Engine 55.
1964.....wow that thunderbolt 1000T siren seen alot of generations go by. my mom was only 5 years old when this siren was installed.

@Ouranos94 the siren was put in in 1964, it may have been ordered that way. all the 1950's installs are 1000's (supposed to be by the records I have.
