I've lost hope in Microsoft and their OS's, they're giving me too many issues. Windows it too mainstream :) Going to give the *buntu family a try, preferably Lubuntu.

I wiped my Windows 7 and installed WIndows 8 on it.Have been using it as my primary OS since the day Windows Developer Preview was released. The Desktop worked very fluidly and fast! It, as a pre-beta, runs more smoothly than Vista's final version.

Didn't have any major issues. No loss of data ever occurred.

It seems the every other Edition of Windows Sucks, XP was Great, Vista Sucked, Windows 7 is Awesome, and if the cycle continues, Windows 8 is going to also. I think i'll skip windows 8 and stay with 7, like people did when Vista Came out.

I was a hardcore mac user for 3 years, and just switched to Win7 64 bit ultimate. I like it a lot. With my new custom build, I have the power that i need for a fraction of the cost of the pro, 300$ build. Although it is still a Hackintosh :D, I really am enjoying windows.

@SuperMuddiger I have an ISO for the 64-bit dev preview, I haven't used it but I've seen it in action and it ruins the purpose of Explorer. I'd be more productive in Windows 3.

@sonic3243 It won't be that bad, probably. I really like the metro UI on my smartphone. But I completely agree that a pc shouldn't feel like a tablet, especially a gaming rig, but I'm sure they'll make it work nicely. I was skeptical of the metro interface, but when I tried it it was pretty good. I'll just try it on my pc, and if I don't like it, it's back to windows 7. Weren't they going to work in both interfaces, windows 7 style and metro?
