Despite Amy's death, this clip is still funny. As a recovering addict, I find addiction has its hilarious moments alongside the tragic. We must laugh at the insanity of life and just try to get on as best we can.

Amy's death is tragic, yes, but an addict either sobers up or loses the fight. Dawn French's parody of Amy Winehouse is brilliant, nonetheless. "Circle of shame"-we all have them.

F & S have made heaps of brilliant parody sketches that are just simply daft, and not really risking offence, just very far fetched versions of aspects of people. When we laugh at someone's alcoholism and then they actually die from it ..as 'crsh' says its not so funny any more. And yes roll on humour :-)

Since Amy's tragic death I feel compelled to suggest that maybe it's not appropriate to make fun massive public fun of people's serious addictions and tribulations. I wonder how Dawn French feels about this sketch now? Let's hope she doesn't suffer the indignity of having her own issues mocked incase she dies in some related way. I love F & S but this sketch seems so utterly tasteless now.

i only just found out the americans wanted to do their own AbFab, its a classic comedy and can never be copied. it wouldnt be the same without the english accent either especially the "sweetie darlin" america have their own comdeys which are funny (scrubs etc) they should leave english to us (the office etc) i find the english comedies are much more realistic, americans go so over the top it takes the funny side away :/ thanks for stick up for us :D

I agree, even the English version of Paris Hilton's BFF was more realistic than the American version. The English are less willing to put a glossy film over everything as the Americans do, and I appreciate the realism the English embrace.
