IRONBONGII, your comment has got to rate as the funniest I've laid my eyes on in YEARS. I haven't laughed this much since watching Fawlty Towers' "The Germans" episode.
I'm 13 and I love Alphaville! And I'm really glad I'm listening to bands like Nik Kershaw, Spandau Ballet and Alphaville and not to these new pop stars!
Fucking liars. Your 49 years old married and you wish your kids listened to alphaville. 16 year olds don't spell that good, you old proper fucked jerkass pedophile wannabe. Go fuck yourself with your dusty ass cassettes and beta tapes. I however, am 29 years old and gonna rock me some alpahville, maybe if I sing forever young enough It'll stick. 13 years old and spells that good, fucking tard. What kind of jackass do you take me for?
@IRONBONGII Hi I am 3 year old and found this record in my dad's closet. I took the record, placed it on my dad's old record player. Fixed a fresh record needle, and played this song. WOW it was a kick ass, and all my 3 year old friends dance to it. I rather listen to this than Justin Beiber ...........and oh yes ......... I typed all this myself (believe me!) :)
That's 80s which will never come back.THERE'S A HUGE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN 80S AND LATEST MUSIC THAT MUSICS IN 80s WERE FULL OF MELODY,VERY CATCHY. FANTASTIC MELODY COMBINED WITH GREAT RYTHM AND KNOWLEDGE OF SINGING AND ALL THOSE THINGS JOINTLY BECAME SOMETHING WHAT I CALL MUSIC.80s musics were way ahead of their era!
Can someone tell me what this song is about? I can tell you. This song is about the devil. Check the lyrics and learm some about "Rain Man" term which is often uses in lyrics of popular songs. Marian sings he sold his soul to the devil in female body.

@Daizaidi Remarkable that young people today hear stuff from my teenage time at the 80s and 90s!! You have a good taste. The music from Alphaville meant a lot to me and still does.
damn!! Im 16 years old, and I found this album in my father's cassetes collection a few days ago... with some other great albums of course, Lou Reed, David Bowie, Tears For Fears, Black Oak Arkansas, Fogat, Styx... but this one... specially this one... IT JUST KICK ASS!!! ITS TOTALLY AWSOME!!! a great album, great melodies... this is real pop!!, not like that plastic, empty, cold, with-no-feeling shit that are so famous between the teenagers of these days...¬¬
@takanuva001 I'm sixteen as well and I must agree. I remember my dad playing Alphaville and things like Ace of Base, Michael Jackson, Erasure, Enigma, Berlin, Depeche Mode, and Parliament Funkadelic to name a few in the car when I was younger. I'm still into this kind of music.
As I said to some guys in here, its really sad that young people let those plastic artists enter in their minds... they really dont leave anything new or interesting to see... just the same and the same everytime... :/
of course, that there are some exeptions, but they're just a few ones like The Strokes, Vampire Weekend or Franz Ferdinand... dX
@takanuva001 oh my god,I couldn't have imagined that kinda music like this was popular in Mexico ever as you wrote that.I thought this music was popular only in europe.Anyway your father and you must have a very good taste of music.
Some how I totally missed out on this band in the 80's. My fav from the 80's is Tears for Fears. I really LOVE them. I just sent my husband of 6yrs a nasty email for not telling me about them. He even has a Cd from a band called the House Martins, but no Alphaville. Humm!!!

OK this is a total shot in the dark. I am a big fan of 80's first wave/new wave and I have on an old mix tape a song that repeats: You are the fallen angel, You are the fallen angel, you are the fallen angel where ever you are, (not sure of the next phrase but sounds like- minute to minute living in exile). Obviously it is not this song. Any 80's fans out there have any clues for me? I have been desparate to ID this for years. It has a dance beat, male voice- probably Euro. I can provide MP3.
I agree: best song on Forever Young, though A Victory of Love comes close...this is one of only two songs I know of that has a guy dealing with a prostitute. The other is Genesis' 'Mama'.

I wouldn't go as far as calling it the best, but it's definitely one of those albums with little to no fillers.
Europe - Prisoners in paradise
Kim Wilde - Love is.
Def Leppard - Hysteria
Sarah Brightman - Dive
Top Gun Soundtrack (kinda cheating since it's a collection, but anyway)
...to mention a few equally awesome albums. :p
