the turbos create back pressure for the engine. This exhaust would be a no-no on a naturally aspirated car

@stevewhitmore My uncle was telling me there would be more room for back pressure cuase the pipe is bigger meaning i would have to turn up the psi to make up the room left over from the bigger y pipe. . . 0.5inch exhaust space. . .

Best sounding exhaust hands down. I'm looking to buy one for my 02 S4 B5... Just installed my new intake and chip, exhaust will be next. Then I think it's time to do engine work to prep some new Garrets... I heard this exhaust is like around 28 hundred dollars... Can anyone clue me in?

very nice, there was an 01 avant with apr's software and ko4's at my shop and that was the most fun ive ever had in a car, cant imagine gt28's. another fun car that ive gotten behind the wheel on is a 225 TT with APR's stage III+ kit. it had the stealth exhaust on it, you didnt hear anything but spool and saw the speedo climb like crazy haha

That damn avant is so ridiculous... I'm not a fan of the wagons, but people are like, COME ON!!! How can that thing move? the TT looks like a glorified toaster oven to me, but they ride pretty sweet. Never drove one, but rode in one. I'm kind of a big dude @ 6'2" so I really don't fit well in those little cars... I can at least put the seat back in muh S4 :) Thing goes WAY back too! Cut your passengers legs off! I'll be sure to post up once I get my car out of it's stock phase...

How are you're turbos holding up?I was just wondering is 3.5 all the back,is too much air for the turbos.I believe are cars need back peassure..so shouldnt it reduce down to 2.5 after the downpipes?

the turbos are fine though the car only has 16,000 miles on it. It is not driven every day. The turbos themselves are the backpressure, many people forget that.

Its not rice its sauerbraten. the 30v twin turbo v6 makes some serious power. that car with the K04's is easily 450HP at the crank, dynos prolly around 370HP. Throwin it down to the asphalt with some quattro AWD. =) Im in love, glad iv got one in my garage.

To each their own.... The exhaust is a purpose built system with the intention of having an efficient flow path and low back pressure. These characteristics were achieved and that is what mattered. The sound is very exotic and I understand that its not for everyone. FWIW the purpose of the exhaust and the definition of rice dont really play hand in hand especially since the car consistently makes over 530hp and the rest of the car looks mostly stock.
