I think this is the best song i ever heard, the lyric's and the way he sing's it, every time i hear it the tear's swell up, and abig lump come's to my throuth, thank's again for posting it.
What a beautiful song, the lyric's tell such sad story, and jimmy singing it dosen't hurt it any, what a beautiful song, as far as rating it , out of 1 to 10 i would give it an 11 thank you for posting it, as sad as the song is, it's still a beautiful song,
THANKS SEAN, YES JIMMY DOES THE SONG PROUD, BUT THEN BRIDIE IS THE REAL TRYCONNEL GIRL AND NOBODY SINGS IT ANY BETTER, ALL I NEED NOW IS A MOTHERS LOVE IS A BLESSING AND I WILL BE GREETING LIKE A WEE GIRL - (ulster lingo for crying deeply) for you friends not from the 9 counties)
After covering a very average version of this song myself I've got to say that "This is by far the best arrangement I've heard to date" Thank you for sharing. 5*
@Bigfrank364 not sure, I've searched google, no joy, there probly is out there, if you keep an eye out for an american band called Dropkick Murphys they sing a lot of Irish songs but the make them in a rock style so maybe they have it released, and if not now maybe in the future. I'm not sure about blues to be honest, not really to my taste
ohhh Mr Sean thank you for this song. this is my mam's song it reminds her of me when i went to the USA when i was only 18 years old. she use to listen to this song and cry.but im back home now with my mother and family, so when we are all toghter having a party, my mam always gets me to sing NOREEN BAWN, still not a dry eye in the room . thanks for this memory.
