Composed as a remembrance-tribute for both Toru Takemitsu and Morton Feldman, Eros Piano remains singular in John Adams' output - and it is a gorgeous piece for piano and chamber orchestra I hope finds a much larger audience. It is wonderful to hear it, and know it is being so beautifully performed. Bravo for the performance, and Bravo for programming this quietly great piece.

Thanks so much for the chance to hear that. I think it's spellbinding (then again, you know I hear most things as soundtracks).
We're a ways from all those beautiful Gates, but it's still lovely territory..

I was waiting with bated breath... (for it all to begin).
Then it began- and you were splendid.
Congratulations. The way the piano sounds run along and hurry, slow down, hurry... and the chords...
I know next to nothing about John Adams, but this, as you play it, is : beautiful.
