  • Shakti can't die. Shakti and Shiva are indestructible. Shakti's first avatar was as Sati. When Sati burned herself at her father Daksha's yagna, Shiva was enraged. He went into meditation trance for many years. Then Shakti was reborn as Parvati and had to again do the penance to get Shiva as her husband. :)
