The film (or layer of tissue) from the inside shell of the egg can be peeled of and used on the skin as well. It is there to keep impurities from interacting with the chick while it is growing in the egg. Works the same on your skin, by removing impurities from your skin if you place it on your skin. Great for acne and killing acne bacteria from within the skin.

They content up to 5 more times of nutrients and benefits than "conventional". Kandee! Awesome that you know this trick too! I actually like to put cinnamon in my mixture! Makes the egg smell better and it's an awesome exfoliant. I also like to sleep on a clean pillowcase with my mixture w/no cinnamon (i know, gross.)..but I will definitely try adding the vinegar and honey. Maybe you could try adding the cinnamon to yours like I do to mine. :)

I've tried this since the summer and saw incredible skin improvement. I think everyone should try this. All i did was put the egg white on my face and let it sit for 10 minutes, then rinse it off. Couple of little corrections: there are no germs in eggs. The inside of the egg is sterile (which means it is devoid of any living microorganisms... Absolutely no germs). Also, egg is great for your hair... As is honey (helps with dandruff), so getting it on your hair is a GOOD thing.

@Tocowbell Salmonella is not in every egg, if that was the case we would all be sick. Salmonella only occurs if a hen is infected or the place where you got your eggs aren't very sanitary. Putting raw egg on your skin is perfectly safe. Salmonella infected eggs are pretty rare anyways, but still possible.

Honey is also a preservative. The yolk is moisturizing and you can give urself a hair mask outta it (great for dry/split ends) and the white of the egg give you a face-lift. Yup. Michelle Phan did a vid on this years ago, but I like this one more...

on a side note, i read that the cage free/free range label on eggs is not regulated - they can pretty much let the chickens out for 5 minutes a day and call them free range- hopefully this isn't true but i read it a while back in a news article

I tried this egg mask the other day and it worked very well. However, I've been doing something that works just as good (if not better): 1 tablespoon of organic honey and 1 teaspoon of any kind of milk. Dab it on your face with a cotton ball, leave it on for 10 minutes, then rinse. It's unbelievable and extremely simple. They both improve the way your skin feels and the honey helps fight acne.
