A lot of times, when working with high end technology like this, you run into issues where the processing power cannot instantly respond to a query, also known as latency. With something this advanced, the processing power could be fluxuating to the point of sync/desync issues. It happens in many programs, OS's, games, etc. Just my bit to point out.

Ok,.. so at first there is a delay, but the screen doesnt seem to be processing anything particilar at that moment. You can see the screen and the host at the same time.

Then the camera turns onto the host, and the screen is out of view. This is where i think some "tape" has started playing, cause when the camera turns to the screen the sound suddenly is synchronized while the software is processing the imagery.

Its just seems odd,..

If HD really does because huge, this is going to be a big deal - a lot of top celebrities have been complaining that makeup isn't going to be enough anymore (you can REALLY see people's flaws in HD - and it's worse because of close-ups, etc) so if they have near real-time (there was a second or so of lag it looked like) automatic digital editing, that'd do it for touch ups, I think. Good bye soft focus cameras!

From the look of it, the system works entirely on stereoscopic image tracking - it looks for particular points on the face that are unique and never change eg. tip of nose, corners of mouth, corners of eyes/eyebrows. Then it can work out how your face/head has changed orientation. From that, it can apply a texture onto your virtual face, and give you a new virtual hairstyle.
