Not true about the Machine gun upgrade. If you have the range upgrade you can see and target at about twice the normal range, which for a vehicle with primary medium-long range weapon this comes in real handy.

@gigabot3662 Also, the quick reload time helps alot. With it, you can constantly keep rockets on them. The smoke attachment is also quite amazing, especially since you can kill people with it.

@gigabot3662 Good idea. I hate the downtime time during the hellfire cooldown, so I usually only jump in the UAV if I have the machine gun on.

@gigabot3662 I totally agree with you. I always use Optics if I'm going to be using the UAV. Mainly because if you don't hit you're targets accurately enough, the missile is so weak it won't even kill them. It seems like they have to be within about 5 feet of the blast to die, lol.

@combobreakerDOTcom No it's all about preventing the enemies from destroying the Mcoms. You killed what, three or four people, at the cost of them arming both of your Mcoms. Yeah lets spot people who are nowhere near any of your teammates, that's a real help. And you're really pissing the people off in your squad because they can't spawn on you.

@codyc61 Well it's true that you need to juggle taking tickets as well as protecting the M-COM. However, your squad can spawn on you, and having a squad of four spawning behind enemy lines is devastating. They don't expect you to be there, so they are easy kills. If my teammate wants to be away from the base in exchange for four tickets, that's fine with me. The worst that will happen is they they get killed and then respawn at the M-COM.

@combobreakerDOTcom I assume you haven't played this game much, if you did you would know that you cannot spawn behind enemy lines in rush. There is an invisible line where no one can spawn on you to prevent baserape.

I don't mean to come off as confrontational, but the community does not need people saying things like, "I assume you haven't played this game much, if you did you would know...". Every person who plays should not be expected to know every single fact about the game. People should not be afraid to come here to learn new things, and neither should you. Having an bad attitude turns poeple off to this great game that is BFBC2. So please be clear, your criticism is welcome here with everyone else's.

@codyc61 Yes but when you have the majority of the population of BC2 players C4 UAVing, ATVing, and general shotgun/m14/m1/g3 plus explosives pouch and improved demolitions rush matches are over before they even start. Now sure you could sit there and guard the M-COMs, but you are just one person. If you are not playing with friends that you can ACTIVELY COMMUNICATE with, then the only time you are going to win a rush game is if the other team are idiots. So if it means hanging back

@codyc61 and destroying their tanks and killing them as they spawn then that's definitely a great strategy, just as those who defend C4ing the M-COM as a legitimate strategy just because it was also practiced in BC1. Now sure this wasn't being practiced in the video, but that could change any minute after the video ended. So just because he used the UAV from preventing the Bradleys from being used instead of using it for the "accepted purpose" of spotting and/or using V Smoke being acceptable

@arcaneuser210 A even better strategy and something to help the team would be to STEAL the Bradley instead of destroying them. Teamwork was not implemented in this video and this channel is just promoting the lonewolf mentality that is killing this game

@codyc61 You could steal it. Then what? You could base rape them until the Bradley blew up or take it to your base. Then with all the jungle you get flanked and blown up with your own Stationary AT. Also would you call those who C4 M-COM's team players because they are going for the objective? What is the purpose of holding B or Circle to arm the charge then? In this point of BC2, its for an extra fifty points. If C4'ing the M-COMs is not considered promoting lone wolf behavior, then what is?

@codyc61 Where does it state that in the game? The mode select in multiplayer just says destroy them. Now I will not be dense and not believe that the phrase "destroy them" isn't a broad term. However when you look at the benefits of arming vs C4ing, why have arming in there? C4ing is just so more beneficial to the enemy team that they should just have all kits with C4 as a gadget. With the tank, if you manage to steal it, making it to your base depends on the enemy teams intellegence.

I also believe in the "Don't get in it if you can't use it" theory. We all have been blown up because some idiot thought he could drive the blackhawk and ended up into the side of a cliff. Same rule applies to tanks. I can't use a tank to save my life, so I find it easier blowing it up then just stealing it. Also I'm the only one on my team guarding

When I am making these videos I assume that you should be using teamwork the entire time. If there were squad mates with me I would expect them to heal, dispense ammo, spot, and play their class to their strong points. Sticking with other people is the best form of teamwork. I don't feel I need to go over this in every video. It is no different than any of your videos. All of them are you running and gunning by yourself. The only form of teamwork that you display is spotting.

@codyc61 What I intent to do is post different options to take for different situations. I'm not trying to say you should be running across the battlefield to steal the UAV. I just happened to have spawned right before the last M-COM and I ended up near the UAV. I thought what unfolded after was slightly comical. If you find yourself in this situation you would be stupid not to deny the attacking team the use of it.

I do this all the time. I use a Recon so to the casual observer it simply looks like one of their team mates is on the UAV.

@combobreakerDOTcom Nope, you can't. A 300 dollar radio helicopter will land automatically when it files out of radio range but the UAV in Bad Company 2 will spontaneously combust when you walk away from the controls. Go figure. - mark
