I'm a non believer and dont understand how a gay person can be Christian when the book that claim to be sacred condenms their sexuality

It makes no sense to equate a method of love with that of murder, or rape, or thievery. Not only is it irrational, but it's contrary to the true definition of evil. Evil is the opposite of love. Of course, God is the one who creates, loves, & keeps gay people right here on earth, as part of His divine plan for mankind. I LOVED drinking but even as easy it was to self justify that it was still wrong in Gods eyes. To many churchs rely on the love and grace of God, but that in no means allows us to willingly sin. Hi, I am a hetrosexual Catholic, but I support gay rights. In our Church community (in the UK) sexuality is really not an issue, however I wish the official stance of the Catholic Church would change.

The Anglican Church in the UK however is much more liberal - it has had a gay bishop and allows gay priests and also married priests.

The theology spoken of at this conference is a point of view that takes a literal view of the bible. This type of theology does more harm than good. Common sense must prevail. Joe Dallas has been steeped in religious dogma & bigotry. He comes from a very homophobic, very old & worn out belief system. In fact his Ideas and views have not changed but remained and very become stagnate. He equates homosexual orientation with bar hopping, drugs, AIDS, etc. He is in the past and does not acknowledge the fact that the world has changed dramatically since the 1970s. he does not acknowledge the growth and increased emotional well-being of the gay modern community.
