Do you find many of these in Afghanistan? I've seen a number of videos of military personnel shooting these in the middle East, I'm guessing there are quite a few of them in circulation there.
Whole drum fired and it didn't miss a beat......Not bad considering the "Papashov" was designed to be manufactured in small workshops with unskilled labor, and with minimal expensive materials. Whole regiments were armed with these things late in WW2. Typical Soviet simplicity and ruggedness.
@iSteLthLeGeNdZz yes well in this case the arabs paid for it , did it occur to you that is it a russian weapon using the 7.62x25 round that is not produced for or procured by the u.s. military...... the gun he shot cost the u.s. tax payers 0$ and the ammo he shot cost also 0$
@iSteLthLeGeNdZz The PPSh isn't standard issue you moron. Neither is 7.62x25, there is tons of the stuff lying round in the middle east I would imagine. You didn't pay anything in order for him to shoot this thing!
THE BEST SUB MACHINEGUN OF WWII, B-A-R None!!! I said SUB Machinegun, not Automatic Rifle like the MP43/44. This Roosky PPSH 41 dumps ammo in a New York Second and will take a beating in the field (like the Kalishnekov). Compare to the MP40, Thompson Model 1921-1928 and the Sterling and it is no comparison---the PPSH 41 wins hands down!!! HA CTALUHA!!!
@amyhuk ummm no its no relation to it, there is no point posting these comments if you dont know firearms and are just putting misinformation on the internet..
the suomi is a copy of the bergman mpi18 and its german dirivitives... with the magazine flipped to a vertical position. the ppsh uses a different cocking an mechnisim , different style of bolt and different trigger mechnisim, the only thing related is the magazine..
@frisky2dingo other than the amo used in the ppsh 41 (7.62x25) as oppossed to 9x19 it is the exact same weapon as the Suomi 31. the russians coppied it after getting their asses handed to them many times by it in Finnland. facts are facts deal with reality or get used to being disapointed
PPSH-41 seems practical and simple. I heard an old timer say that Germans in Stalingrad often traded the MP-40 for the PPSH when possible. Something about they worked better in the cold weather and bad terrain due to loose tolerances and the volume of fire was better. Is that true?
@D3TOSS in the real world guns dont work like in movies, many firearms have little felt recoli , like submachine guns.. or the m-16 rifle... or the ak-47
@frisky2dingo I guess so when your dealing with .223 or 7.62x39 or any pistol calibers and then cut that recoil in half because they are all semi autos. Try some bolt action rounds son then you'll take that comment back. 8mm, 30-06, .308 or if you really want to be a man try the 7.62x54r. Then tell me real world guns have little felt recoil.
nah this guy is a fucking idiot he thinks im a little kid nah im Polish BOA you fucktard i bet if you lives here in Poland and we came thru your door youd be like all the others here run and scream for god to frogive you for all your sins and to stay alive
Why is it that an Iraqi can buy a select fire AK-47 for 45 bucks without even so much as a background check while I have to jump through hoops and THEN pay 15 grand for the same thing? That's some bullshit I tell ya. Full auto should be legal.
How'd ya get your hands on a Ppsh? That gun (though great) is not exactly standard issue....Did you get it off a Taliban fighter or something? Those guys use anything the soviets left behind from the 80's, or anything the Russians sell them....
Honestly, it's kind of suprising that armies today don't take this sub-machine gun seriously. Just because it's not the newest thing around doesn't make it unreliable.
@MegaSkull77 It's not an Sturmgewehr? this is an PPSH-41 its been in Soviet Union/Russian military service since 1941,It was in Nazi Germany service.The iranians produced a local version in the 1940s there is a number of ways it could have gotten to iraq. But the most likely was the soviet invasion of afghanistan in the early 80's
@789films the iranians never produced a version of the ppsh.. china did... iran was persia after ww2 and they issued mostly czech made weapons and weapons given by the u.s. and Britain
@frisky2dingo Well i have read differently i've shot a few chinese & russian made one's and one that had markings proved to be iranian they made a local version of the ppsh-41 in the late 1940's google it.
@zipacna1980 Not exactly they never "officially" stopped using the weapon just like the M16 "replaced" the M14 in united states military use,technically a better weapon came along but a number of special forces groups still use the M14 same with the russians & the PPSH
@789films Well, I was in Russian military 98-00 and never ever seen one apart from WWII movies and museum. SMGs in general aren't popular within Russian military. That is mostly police tools and police is using newer designs, mostly 9 mm.
@zipacna1980 That makes sense,i have no experience in russian or united states service i'm just going by what i have read in books & on the web according to everything i have read online about the gun says its been in service from 1941–to present time.either way its still a badass gun lol
@789films Yep, it looks like that. I've shot with TT pistol using that same round and it kicks ass. It has extraordinary penetration and power considering a size of round. PPsh seems like very easy to use with little to none recoil, huge capacity drum. It was effectively used by 13 yo in Stalingrad. To me it clearly has advantages over shortened AKs replaced it. Same about TT pistol phased in 50s for inferior 9mm Makarov.
@zipacna1980@789films But just for the record it wouldn't be hard to convert this to fire 9mm the germans captured a very large number from the soviets in ww2 & converted them to fire the 9mm Parabellum and supplied with 7.63x25mm Mauser ammunition which is dimensionally identical to 7.62x25mm, but somewhat less powerful,the Wehrmacht were just tossing their MP40's for the captured PPsh.
@GRUZ450 stop being butthurt, that was a very long time ago, communism has collapsed in Russia your Grandfather if he is here/was here today he would not be like that. Plus that might not be original :P
@MrVikons Слышь ненормальный, какую чужую страну я тут обосрал? И как я свою тут позорю? Думай прежде чем хамить. Сам мудак. Если я так отношусь к флагу на плече этого гондона, то это мое мнение. What an epic noise! That mag sure emptied quickly too - can you imagine how Wehrmacht defenders must have felt with entire battalions armed solely with papashas and grenades coming straight at them? Yuk. great vid; thanks.
Funny how habits are so hard to break. That particular weapon is "safe" when the bolt is closed on the chamber. Opening the bolt makes it ready to fire. A friend of mine was shooting a BREN gun and he worked the bolt loose and let it drop to chamber a round and was quite surprised when the weapon fired! Open bolt guns are such fun. If your still over seas stay safe.
I had the chance to buy one of these and I asked for the price of the ppsh 41, the dumb-ass asked wtf I was talking about.....whats happened to the world
@unknownaussie2 r u fucking stupid or something kid? #1 ur argueing with people about shit they DON'T care about and #2 ur butting into someone elses conversation, who does that? Really? Grow up kid
@DaBlindKungFuMastuh Seems unlikely and I don't see how they could modify them. Only difference in the way they shoot is the different calibers and the rate of fire.
It's Great to see a proper PPSH-41 being fired! Is this a weapon that has been recovered from an owner/stash in the area? I wonder what history this particular weapon has as they were manufactured in a number of countries other than Russia.Is this one in 7.62x25mm or has it been manufactured/converted to 9x19mm which is common?Thanks for posting!!
@SCOUTCHRIS No its 9mm Makorav shells it takes because Poland has a bunch of them captured from WW2 you see them in museums here and the 9mm Makorav shells with them so you are the stupid fuck a SMG that small with the 7.62mm would destroy the gun all the way
@tillkurtz It's 7.62x25mm you stupid internet warrior. The 7.62 part is simply the diameter of the bullet, not the length of the cartridge, just like a .50 Desert Eagle would be blown apart by a .50BMG round, if it would fit. Thanks for watching, enjoy MW3, it's teaching you well...
@SCOUTCHRIS No i challenge your claim. I am absolutely confident, you were on a Mars when you fired it. My friendly imaginary space aliens say so, they saw you near that Mars face, shooting PPSH-41 haha... Jesus, where are those people coming from? Where did you got the weapon by the way (for real this time, lets leave out the alien jokes for a moment, lol) i bet it was confiscated from some insurgent?)
I was talking to some buddies that had been over and they said they killed a lot of fighters from other countries over there (a lot of Chinese and Russian)
In Iraq? Are you kidding? Your friends are pissing all over you. You know what would happen if Chinese or Russian 'troops' were found fighting in Iraq. It would be all over the news for one thing...besides they would stand out like dogs balls, Chinese in particular. They might have killed fighters who had come from the areas of Russia which are heavily Islamic but those cunts dont consider themselves Russian anyway. Many of them look Middle Eastern.
@Internetbutthurt he was not implying in any way that they were Russian troops ect. He said they were not wearing patches (mercenary the best they could tell). He also said they would be in much better cammo used by russian and chinese military again minus patches. He was a marine in the fight for Fallujah. He just said the Iraqis they come across used the spray and pray concept. Most all of the snipers they killed were not usually of Iraqi origin. He found that very odd.
@unknownaussie2 Open your eyes a bit more and you will realize that it isn't bamboo! You said it yourself you fuck face that "Bamboo doesn't grow in Iraq"
@unknownaussie2 Yeah dude, if you actually served in Iraq youd know it. I was in Al Kut for 15 months and this is definantly Iraq fucker!...Hesco's, dirt, t walls....fuck you aussie
@iSteLthLeGeNdZz these guys risk life and limb for you so i think they deserve a bit of time to just fuck around

@silver760 7.62x25

@SCOUTCHRIS Thanks for the reply.
silver760 1 month ago
@SCOUTCHRIS No its 9mm Makorav shells it takes because Poland has a bunch of them captured from WW2 you see them in museums here and the 9mm Makorav shells with them so you are the stupid fuck a SMG that small with the 7.62mm would destroy the gun all the way
tillkurtz 2 weeks ago
@tillkurtz It's 7.62x25mm you stupid internet warrior. The 7.62 part is simply the diameter of the bullet, not the length of the cartridge, just like a .50 Desert Eagle would be blown apart by a .50BMG round, if it would fit. Thanks for watching, enjoy MW3, it's teaching you well...

SCOUTCHRIS 3 weeks ago 51
@SCOUTCHRIS No i challenge your claim. I am absolutely confident, you were on a Mars when you fired it. My friendly imaginary space aliens say so, they saw you near that Mars face, shooting PPSH-41 haha... Jesus, where are those people coming from? Where did you got the weapon by the way (for real this time, lets leave out the alien jokes for a moment, lol) i bet it was confiscated from some insurgent?)

I was talking to some buddies that had been over and they said they killed a lot of fighters from other countries over there (a lot of Chinese and Russian)
Hpdjones 2 weeks ago
@Hpdjones
Internetbutthurt 2 weeks ago
@Internetbutthurt he was not implying in any way that they were Russian troops ect. He said they were not wearing patches (mercenary the best they could tell). He also said they would be in much better cammo used by russian and chinese military again minus patches. He was a marine in the fight for Fallujah. He just said the Iraqis they come across used the spray and pray concept. Most all of the snipers they killed were not usually of Iraqi origin. He found that very odd.
