  • That girl you had with you routinely clean and jerk motorbikes so you can install front wheels?

  • That is pretty cool. Very clever.

  • Grandissimo!!!

  • Just put a Moped in there HAHAH!

  • Clever, will work on snowmobiles as well I suspect

  • Now that's one solution, and quite elegant to boot. Here's another - less practical perhaps but I'm sure if you're both a keen pilot and a keen rider, you'll see the appeal. Search this

    Incredible Flying Motor Bike...

  • u should have titled the video: Handy Motorcycle storage for Personal Aircraft.

Cuz I clicked on this video expecting a bike with a cab and wings...

  • NOICE

  • I thought this was going to be one of them Motorcycles that sprout wings. But nope, Oh well, Nice video though, GO! GO! Gadget flying motorcycle lol

  • Around 1:32 I thought you were joking and the video was about a flying boat.

  • what king of bike is it?

  • The bike in the video is a modified Yamaha XT-225. We plan to convert other lightweight bikes in the 225-250cc category. These bikes have enough performance to tackle the highways, but they are still light enough for most airplanes to haul.

  • RV10 is a 4-place aircraft. We need a motorcycle with a sidecar, sorry...:)

  • The motorcycle has to stay at home when there are more than two of us. However, I rarely fly with more than one passenger so the motorcycle handles most of my needs. Don't have any stats for aircraft, but 1.4 is the average occupancy for a passenger automobile.

  • @Geistero Shoot, maybe they can come up with a model that turns the "container" into a sidecar. Heck, it looks like it can double as a canoe already.

  • Amcamdaki keyfe bakarmısınız dünya onun :)

  • wish have got some money))))) its beautiful idea

  • Thats pretty cool.Did you alter the airframe to fit? What about hardpoints for mounting, or did you use some sort of load spreading frame?

  • Great question. The pod comes with a hard-point kit that can be installed by the builder or a mechanic. Basically, some metal brackets and doublers get riveted inside the fuselage belly. These pieces are designed to distribute the loads to the surrounding fuselage structure and they've been load tested to 8 g's.

  • The pod is great. What is the speed penalty?

  • We measured a 5.4% decrease in cruise speed. On a typical trip, that adds a few minutes in flight but saves big time and hassle on the ground.

  • Good idea .......

But no helmet on a bike ??

  • Fantastic idea my friend. When will you mod one for the Dash 8 so airline pilots can enjoy this luxury as well? =) I really like this idea, and if I ever own my own plane, I will get one.

  • Who is that hot chick?

  • I like the conept, but the rider and pillon aren't wearing helmets when riding the bike?? Stupid....

  • Agreed. Helmets are highly recommended and the pod has room for two of them up front. Unfortunately, we only had one helmet available during filming...we decided to go without and restricted our ride to about 1 block.

  • This is pretty cool. Whats the music in this video?

  • The pod and motorcycle weigh under 300 pounds and the RV-10 has a useful load of 1140 pounds. I can carry my girlfriend, motorcycle, full fuel (800 miles!) and have 190 pounds left for baggage.

  • How much does it weigh? Does it eat up all your useful load?
