As stupid as Capcom's statement was, the fact is that Resident Evil is never going to be the main survival horror franchise again. Dead Space and the F.E.A.R. franchise (excluding FEAR 3) are far scarier than Resident Evil ever was. That being said, they are fantastic games and I would hate to see them be altered for the purpose of attracting COD-fanboy-type gamers.

In my honest opinion, I don't think Capcom has been that great since the Dreamcast and PS2/Gamecube era where they had stellar and original games that interested me like Viewtiful Joe, Tech Romancer and Power Stone.

The trailer for Resident Evil 6 was alright, but the Leon bits were the most RE as it got where Chris's parts were too action oriented which is gonna be jarring if they keep it in the main game. (They're charging more for Revelations? Glad I'm importing it from the UK.)

@NeoGameSpark I actually just got into the RE series. I got RE1 ~ RE3 on the PSN, got RE4 HD and RE Code Veronica HD from the PSN, got RE5 Gold, and I will be getting the DS & 3DS ones and RE6. I like the storm generation demo, however I felt that instead of the Naruto vs Sasuke fight they should have picked the younger version of that fight. This would have shown that you can play as both versions of the characters (Part 1 & 2) for those that don't follow the news article to article. Other than that I'm really looking forward to the game :D
