Just a little side note, there is no current Capcom fighting game that could ever surpass what 3rd strike has done for EVO. The day Capcom or other fighting game companies revert to the concepts of the old - fighting game systems that promotes a player's skill instead cheap come back mechanics like Ultra's and X Factor's - then maybe we can another EVO event that surpasses this one. But for now this clip will live long in our hearts as the best clip ever to grace the FGC.

@DontFearGrim He parried, which you have to time perfectly. He didn't even have time to react, he predicted it.

@DontFearGrim What was awesome about this was he didn't block, he parried. Parrying means you take no damage but it requires precise timing. He predicted what his opponent was about to do and set up a difficult parry where one mistake would mean death.

@Rushinator It's not hard to parry and actually at that range you can parry post super freeze.

What's cool is that he clutched it out and punished flawlessly.

@Scuddi Just mentioning, chunli's SA2 CAN be parried post freeze even at point blank/close up range:) i'm not all talk or speculating or heard it from others, i experimented it myself back in the ps2 version, n then i tried it again in 3S OE on my ps3, it's still could be done:)
