  • As for the people considering getting cockatoo... please go to MyToos.com for the full story on these animals. They are NOT pets, and shouldn't be in a cage. If you cannot be persuaded, ADOPT, don't BUY. There're more than enough rescues up to the eyeballs with cockatoos needing homes, and an adult cockatoo will rarely undergo any personality changes. When these birds hit sexual maturity, they CHANGE. They go from quiet, sweet and cuddly to screaming, hormonal adults!

    Good luck with Bella. :)

  • very beautiful take care of her

  • Beautiful bird, i asked in my local town where i coud get one, they said they could arrange one for me it would only set me back like 2.5k euro, oh well lol.

  • Abousolutly love those birds and cant wait till i have the room and money to get one i have a fondness for australian . What were the tunes playing in the back ground please

  • :)

  • I love your baby...

There's something profoundly moving in watching a baby (even grown babies) parrot-bird, or otherbird, amble across a floor to climb up the whole body of her or his Person, just to rest and perch and preen on his or her shoulder. To be where the she's happy...,

    <3.

    Sigh,

    <3.

  • My... my dream bird T-T its so pretty....

  • beautiful bird! cockatoos are such a big commitment but it looks like Bella has found a good home :) I have read that Major Mitchell cockatoos can be a bit aggressive as they get older, have you seen this type of thing with Bella?

  • where do u get these????

  • Im choosing between a sulphur crested, umbrella and major mitchell's cockatoo but i don't know which one to choose. Do you think that a major mitchell's is the best choice?

  • @RaidenArmst1 - Think long and hard before taking on a 'too. They need alot of attention and time. They can become jealous and resentful if your life changes and you can't spend as much time as you used to with them. Maybe try a smaller parrot like a Quaker, Conure or Eclectus.

  • :)

  • she likes a angel!

  • wow this is totally increadable , she is so beautiful and you are so lucky to have such a sweet baby like her i envy you=) best of luck and many years of being happy togather for the both of you =)

  • simply stunning

  • she is the most beatiful thing i have ever seen

  • @hakstian :)

  • oh how I miss the Australian background tweeting.....beautiful bird!

  • SHE IS SO ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL!!!! DON'T LET GO

  • this is the absosutely sweetest relationship between a cockatoo and her man. I had a relationship like that with my umbrella but became to sick to keep him, but I must say your bird is TOTALLY IN LOVE WITH YOU!! That is absolutely priceless. Don't ever let go of this bird. She will die without you. This is beyond words.

  • Would love one of these.. how old is she? Do they make a good companion parrot? I heard they can be bitey and aggressive once they reach maturity

  • @NerdHunter87 all parrots get like that at maturity. the good owners work with them more and then when they get past it they are wonderful friends. expect to be bit if u own a parrot maybe even bleed. its just part of owning one.

  • I know that parrots go through a stage when they reach maturity - I own a green cheeked conure and have shed enough blood to know that! But I have heard once MMs get to maturity they will remain like that and are therefore not suited to companionship but better for aviaries once they hit maturity.

  • this is a very lovely companion, beautiful. :)

  • you ahve a beautiful bird. I have an umbrella cockatoo :]

  • ive always wanted one of these beautiful birds :) unfortunetly, there a vary expensive breed, about 3000 USD a piece :/
