Where do you get your double staves? They have the longer wicks. Only place I've seen them is Thailand and the wicks don't last very long. Nice spinning btw.
hey i want lear trick with the stick but i dont found videos.. i see your moves and so great!!! damn you should start a academy... can you give me some advice to start try with the stick... o with the smords... i been waiting for thath we want more videos! are so amazing...
Spectacular!! I myself am mastering my fire fans and will train with more tools later. You're quite skilled with the poi and Your staff/dobule staff is mesmerizing!
Rock on mark! Like everything about speed but I think your style could use an anti spin/ and or speed transition, frome as slow as u can go to as fast,. Take the advice or leave it it was still a great vedieo :)
Thanks for the advice! I'm working on a new video with some more transitions and speed changes... its actually getting the camera right more than getting the spinning right to make a good video...
@MrZhalid Thanks for the compliment! Practice all your moves on one foot, it will improve your balance and your poi/staff control. once you can do the moves on one foot, practice moving from foot to foot while spinning. Like a slow walk but brining your knee as high as you can get it and holding it for a few beats at the top. Go on HOP to find new moves but everytime you learn a new move make sure you can to it on one foot!
And always be aware of your body position relative to your audience.
@markfire1000 wow, great idea to train at one foot... I've concentrated myself on hands moves and I see now how... amazing... how... nobel and just great it looks, when the whole body moves together. I don't know how many times I've watched this video but it's just fantastik, especially with that song. Usually people use electronic, djembe, movie soundtracks to their shows and you not only use rock music but also you know how to move to it. Great, really.
@markfire1000 thanks :) and also when your using the poi's and you bring your hands together to make the pois do a big circle, is that a trick with its name or is it just something of your own?
@ShadowWolfDyhm To be honest I don't know the names of any of the moves I do. I never learned that way... But I'm sure there is a name for it somewhere on HOP forums!
Nice shit! I have been spinning for about a year n a half now and my one video on here is significantly out dated. I like your spinning though awesome fire eating too.
Looks good, and fast. I just would like to see more of a variety in the poi section. alot of thread the needle and weave variations which looked good, but i think it would look better with flower variations thrown in atleast. With flowers you can keep the speed and throw something extra to keep attention. but great job, keep it up
@iborddd Actually what you might have noticed is the camera guy made a mistake on the double fire staff section and reorded at the wrong frame rate. We adjusted later but had to play with the clips when we edited to make them match. I'm working on a few more small vids with better equipment and understanding more about how to shoot fire. It's actually really difficult as most camera people never shot it before and although I have performed for audiences many years making a video is different.
@iborddd Whenever somethings exceeds one's own ability it's instantly sped up. This I've never understood, getting insane speed on staff and poi is not difficult, and watch his body movements - they are quite natural and slow relative to the poi and staff.
@elucid07 i watched it really quickly the first time and in the dark i not so obvious the body movement and i made а hasty coment . then i corrected myself . so it wasn't needed to make suck comment !
Great video! I love your speed, and the way you dance. Great expression, nice footwork. Keep posting videos, I'll be watching :-) And give your cameraman a hug for me.
@tori579 Thanks for the support! Yeah when I look at my vids I did post a lot of the same moves. Maybe post a recut or a poi demo in a bit. I really need some good drum music for that!!!:-)))
@markfire1000 if you want some good drums, you can look at hte bass and drums genre of dance music ....bachelors of science have some sick beats that you might be able to use
wow, better than starwars light saber effects

@thetoobnoob Bearclaw deathstars and the flames are pretty intense for the first 90 seconds or so... no mistakes if you value your skin;-)
