There's a similarity to the Stone Roses in this although unlike the Stone Roses the Moody Blues were of their time while the Stone Roses repeated 1960s sounds 20 years too late
Thank you for showing photos of human beings in utero. I would be very happy if all mothers, especially ones in stressful circumstances, could not only see your video but see the person inside them before making any "decisions". It is all too precious...like your work and the Moodies...
YAY MIKE PINDER!! This song is one of my favs -- every time I see the sun and moon out at the same time I start to sing it -- hopefully creating more Moodies fans!! Wish the original group could do ONE MORE ALBUM. Maybe looking back on life...!
I can't believe that some people think that Moraz was better than Mike Pinder on keyboards. Pinder was THE underlying sound of the Moodies on their best albums, the first seven. After he left, they had to go to more of a pop style. They were never quite the same after that, missing Pinder's lush and cosmic, (and complex), arrangements. Check out Melancholy Man, So Deep Within You, Sun is still Shining, and his spaciest songs: My Song, and Out and In. To name a few. Wish he was still with them.
MoodyJill, . The ease with which Pinder connects us to proper things, love, eternity, comfort or the proper realization o why we should feel some discomfort...is well reflected in your work. The inspiration and your understanding and proper response are surely evident. I really hate it when I am brought to tears. It makes my eyes burn.
@telsport It was, I think your selection of the photograph of the small human being doing the imitation of what some call a fetus which got me. from breing impressed with the combined works to being overwhelmed. Therein is the the Holy aspect of Humanism.
Nice choice of images that are timed and fit the theme. Well done Jill.... I listened to the Moodies right from the beginning ... Soooo many memories. Thank you!
:) Well well well....Moody Jill... Sitting here Sunday morning....getting my Minimum Daily Required daily Moody's fix and I again see you made this post.... Awesome stuff kid! Again a quality tune, and video...
.
The Moody Blues are My favorite 'PEOPLE' ever....your video is so dialed in!!
I would like to see a video done with the song, Never Blame the Rainbow for the Rain...great tune...and a hint....Be well...nice work.... Thank ya!
The Moody Blues are the BEST group of singers, song writers, performers to ever come together as one....as an accomplished musician in my day, I have been blessed to age with this group....and I often think, what would these past 45 yrs of my life have been like with out their music as a BIG part of it....They are such a class act of integrity and character....How can one fan ever thank them.... Nice post, another Great tune!! Thanks fellas! See ya in June!! Cincinnati!!
Thanks MoodyJill for the post, I've been looking for this piece! Mike Pinder was such an integral part of the prime Moody Blues recordings. He was a personal favorite because of his mellotron work, songwriting and insightful-from-the heart lyrics. Unfortunately I think they became much more mainstream, although very listenable, after he left. Thanks once again, this is an instant favorite.
thank you
