  • too much blur :D but great informative video

  • @Zaidmolina

too much complaining, glad you liked the video

  • nice demonstration on the sight tool.

  • THANKS FOR THE INFO IT IS BACKWARDS TO THE WAY I'M USED TO ADJUSTING SIGHTS.

  • @permazek KIND OF CONFUSING COMPARED TO ADJUSTING OTHER RIFLES AS YOU ADJUST THE SIGHT FOR WINDAGE AND ELEVATION TO WHERE THE BULLET IMPACTS?

SO CLOCKWISE TO RAISE SIGHT OR COUNTER CLOCKWISE TO LOWER?

MOVE SIGHT TO RIGHT IF IT SHOOTS TOO MUCH TO THE ??

mOVE SIGHT TO LEFT IF IT SHOOTS TO MMUCH TO THE ??

I WAS TOLD FIND OUT POINT OF IMPACT THEN ADJUST SIGHT TO THAT.

SEEMS KIND OF BACKWARDS AND CONFUSING.

  • What brand is the tool? I really need one dude!

  • If shooting too high turn screw counterclockwise?

  • I was told if it shoots to much to the left you want to move the windage more to the left in the direction the bullet is hitting. Seems to be reversed compared to other guns.

How about elevation? which way to raise or lower?

  • @microminiskirt yes if you are adjusting the front site post..if you are hitting left of the bulls eye then move the front site to the left..yes it wounds odd but that is how it works with any gun that you adjust the front site..

if you are hitting under the bulls eye turn your front site clockwise.. that will move it down and your point of impact up ....

all guns are backwards when adjusting the front site ..

  • so what do you do to adjust windage and elevation to make sure you are going in the right direction?

If gun is shooting too much to left you put tool on right side and push it more to left?

If gun is shooting too much to right you put tool on left side to push it more to right? (You adjust it to shoot in the direction the bullet is impacting?

Same question on elevation which way is to make elevation higher and make elevation lower clockwise and counterclockwise?

  • @microminiskirt when adjusting the front sight .. every thing is backwards..

move the site up then point of impact goes down

move the sight left then the point of impact goes right..

    hope that helps

  • @llewisl1973 So then it is backwards compared to most guns? So if it is shooting too much to the left you move the windage to the left until you hit it dead on. Elevation you raise sight to lower, to lower sight you raise sight but in which direction clockwise or counterclockwise?

  • The first step in clearing a weapon is ALWAYS TAKE THE MAGAZINE OUT

  • I need to get one of these tools, my WASR came with a superfunky front sight, it looks like they just tapped it in at the factory all rush job style. It's noticably way off to the left.

  • Explain what he is doing? It looks self explanatory to me...

    Thanks for making this video!

  • @godlydoor320

    Thanks

  • need help... After i put on the tac rail and foregrip my ak shoots left and i dont have an adjustment tool or needle nose pliers. Im still new with the ak bc i only had it for 3 weeks now, i know the front sight moves up and down but does it move side to side > i figure that bc im shooting a little to far left. i took it out yesturday and i was 1 " off the target to the right to hit the damn thing @ 75yd.

  • my site is not the problem the front iron site is crooked bent to the left can u help me out

  • @oilgifnob11; I got the same problem. It's called a "canted" sight. You may need to reassemble the rifle or take it to a gunsmith, it's a quick fix.

  • Thanks, that was helpful.

  • how much is that mini-vice type tool?

  • Usually $8 - $12

  • hey what type of sling was that?

  • Just an old Romanian AK sling I think

  • should redo it it looks old and blurry... talk next time explain what your doin...

  • Seriously?

We made this video in June, 2006

  • sorry but the camera is jumping in and out of focus... the music made me think it was made in the 80's

  • your an idiot

  • look that kind of remark could have been unsaid.....

  • i was wondering how that little gadget worked, thanks

  • Does it make any kind of click or movement too tell you how much you have moved it?

  • great question, I don't think we've ever been asked that (and we have over 4000 questions in the database)

There is no click.. just a tight grip on the smooth cylinder

    Not even any markings

  • mario2164 - removed cause of the swear

The camera was an old camcorder with auto focus..
