i love this film, it will always be my one of favorite film, I still say that this should have one the academy award

According to Robert Fisk in his book "The Great War for Civilisation: The Conquest of the Middle East", pp.484,488–489, Israeli defence minister at that time Ariel Sharon and Chief of Staff Rafael Eitan met with the Lebanese Phalangist militia units, inviting them to enter the Sabra and Shatila refugee camps and telling them the PLO fighters were responsible for the assassination of their leader Bashir Gemayel. This is the core information that was neglected/distorted in this movie.

I wasnt expecting such a good film, saw this today early in the morning and im still thinking about it now, a very clever film that suck's you in with light hearted animation, i love this film!

this movie is in my opinion the best movie ever. after i watched it, i had a three day blank of movies. i didn't dare to watch another, simply because i was positive it wouldn't be able to stand up against waltz with bashir. the soundtrack, the way everyone ha a totally different way to talk about the war, the scenes that followed,... amazing. i have no words for it.

The soundtrack is gut wrenching, and the film does convey what you described as the "alien" concept of war. Just a brilliant, evocative film.

I just ordered WwB on Blu-Ray earlier today. Can't wait to see it in high definition. One of my favorite animated films of all time.

the movie was way too depressing to be movie of the year. the animation looked awesome for about 15 minutes but after that it got really boring.
good movie, but a masterpiece it is not..
