Why did the guy driving the pick up just tie his truck to a good, big, tall tree, and have his weapons ready for any dino's???? That what I would have done. Brilliant action climax though.
heres what i dont get. why didn't they just run up to the front half of the RV? not all the way up to the Rexes mind you. but none of that first part went over the cliff it looks like. totally safe.
Ummm , why wouldn't he tell Goldblum about the object possibly falling BEFORE it falls ? Then maybe he could catch it ? Or at least prepare for it ? And why didn't Vince Vaughn try using his feet to hook the strap ? I know I know, it's a movie.
Hate to be in her shoe, good god, if I was on that glass window, I would have fainted from the height and possibly the glass will shatter and I fall to my death.
When I was younger my brother and I used to lie down on frozen puddles in the winter and pretend like we were on the cracking glass like Sarah. It was fun hahaha
These people are supposed to be dinosaur experts right? so wtf is going through their minds when they decided too take a baby t-rex back too there car thingy when they know full well that mummy and daddy will be close by!! thx for listening to my ranting:)
Actually, they're not dinosaur experts. The only palenthologist is Julianne Moore. Goldblum is a psychologist and Vaughn is an animal right's activist. Which is why he's probably stupid enough to take a fuckin' T-Rex baby back with him to the trailer. (Even *if* the so-called villains had injured the baby and set it up as a trap.) And help smash up the camp later preventing people from getting home and dying in the process. Yes, Vaughn's character in this is an imbecile.
@Pitchguest Goldblum plays a Mathematician, focusing on chaos theory. Vaughn plays a documentary producer. Vaughn's character was non-existant in the book. Moore's character in the book studied African predators, her character in the movie replaced Levine who was the paleontologist in the book.
If shed been fat she woulda been DONE! And for the person who asked how the glass reappeared its because the dinos smashed the glass of the first trailer not the second.
@Nemesis0300 Oh I see. I was replying to Teramyr's comment:
"did anyone notice that jeff goldbloom breaks character at 1 51 and calls vince by his real name instead of nick the character he was playing?"
I beg to differ that it's so clear, since his shoulder covers his mouth half the time. But thanks anyway for clearing it up. I doubted they would slip up in a high cost Spielberg film and call out "Vince".
@MercuryMorrison1 No, he doesn't. He just moves his hand away in surprise. I think if he had, he would have yelled out in pain - and it would have been a blooper, probably.
@claireice He does wince when it happens which leads me to beleive the very tips got smashed...But honestly I'm just going to leave it at that...Its really not worth debating over.
@coopercastille HAHA! xD I never realized that before. Points for the 'discovery'.
Personally, I prefer this over the original. The characters are stupid, but you can say the same for the original. This at least had action scenes like this or the wonderful San Diego rampage to make up for it. The original's action scenes aren't nearly as spectacular.
@DonaldvsSephy I personally think that the characters in this are far more believable and deep. They're all interesting, unlike the nobodies in the original. Also, this film is much more mature, with plenty more moral lessons than the first.
The acting this is also superb compared to the original. The only complaint I have about this one, is some of the early CGI. While the Tyrannosaurus look good as usually, things like the Stegosaurus don't really meet the par.

Teramyr 5 months ago
@Teramyr I think it was Nick saying Ian not Ian saying Vince. That would've been a funny slip up though on Spielberg's part.
Nick: Ian!
Ian: Yeah?
Nick: Satellite phone!
Ian: Got it!
moon6unny 4 months ago
@moon6unny What are you talking about?
It's clearly;
Ian: "Nick!"
Nick: "Yeah?"
Ian: "Satellite phone, get it! "
You can see Ian's mouth the whole time dialogue is going on, I don't see where your confusion was..?
