  • Nice stuff. I was a member of the 'original' 22 Sigs based in Lippstadt, Germany in the 1960's. This was my first posting at age 17 and I was one of the original members of the newly formed Recce Troop which later moved to 7 Sigs in Herford. Members of the original 22 Sigs were refered to as 'Wythes Commandos' and spent a lot of time digging holes and filling them in again. Thank God I was made a re-broadcast (Rebro) commander and got away from 'Radio Village'. Happy days for the 'Misfits'.

  • I was at 22 Sigs in the early 80's. The unit was disbanded at the end of the cold war some time in the 90's. I went back there once recently and the camp is now flats and houses. The old traditional buildings still remain with the garages etc gone. I also visited the 7 Sigs site in Herford & that has been totally demolished. I remember spending a lt of my time diging holes & filling them back in. Nothing changes.

  • it's an accelerated version of Milanollo, the Coldstream guards' slow march

  • March from Scipio, slow march of the Grenadier Guards.

    Close, but no cigar

  • Good Drill. They were out of step at the start though, by the way,What piece did the band play for the present arms?

  • Scipio
