i get confused between this and song of memories, what different times are they played in the game

Song of Memories is the song Garnet/Dagger sings in Dali, and Lindblum.. Melodies of Life is only played once in the game, and that's at the end. Although, alot of the songs are branched off from Melodies of Life, like the world map theme.

looks to me like harmonics. - you can see he's hovering his finger (lightly) on the string with his right hand an octave up. and also plucking it. This produces a harmonic. sounds lovely and requires a lot of skill to carry out as well as this. He's done a fantastic job.
