  • YOU ARE A GOD!

  • may i use this in a movie i am making i will give credit

  • somehow this has a Sword of the Stars feel to it. the ship at 00:16 looks awesome.

  • BADASS! This is going on somewhere out there.....

  • check out a similar project in my profile guys

  • Besides the Theme from the Real War for the intro, what other music did you use?

  • Hey can u make the movies with 3ds Max? Or did you use an external program? :)

  • post something more recent!

  • Epic :D

  • If only the battles in Galactic Civilizations 2 looked like this.

  • Waching this - one thing struck me above everthing else - the musical score made the difference. Depending on the timbre and tempo one looks on with different appreciations. I wonder if a test with the same screen shots and footage with different background scores isn't in order. Perhaps Prokofiev would provide an even more dramatic effect.

  • That was epically epic! I just started with Blender and can't wait to make some similar cgi magic :)

  • Far out maaaaaaan

  • shit this is so awesome, I wanna learn how to do the light effects like that in maya :)

  • holy mother, this is incredible, i cant even describe in words how cool this is !!!

  • seems like all the shots have little punch

  • Super i wish you cant help me by my Perry Rhodan Fanmovie, loik at me chnal Thunack Times Lonely one

  • I'm digging the use of flare lens effects. Nice texturing too. Only thing you could do to make this ..prettymuch perfect is speedup the particles. the beam ones are fine, actually. Just I think the projectiles should move and impact faster. It'll lend something to the ferocity of the fight.

  • That is bodacious.

  • O.o That's AMAZING! It could be a show, with how ell it's doe! Add a storyline, a plot, and some characters XD You used 3DSMax 5 too make it, right?

  • i was gonna buy a animating software but im better at directing and editing normally so I backed out. This reminds me of Star Trek. Live long and Prosper

  • Very much the best Youtube video ever :/

  • The Best Animation I have See in Youtube 5/5

  • HOLY FUCKING SHIT!!! this is the most AWESOMEST THING IVE EVER SEEN SOMEONE MAKE!!!! U GOT ANIMATION SKILLZ DUDE!!!! plz make a series! AND PLZPLZPLZ TELL ME HOW I CAN MAKE ANIMATIONS LIKE YOURS!!!! YOU ROCK!!!

  • this battle haves all: Fighters, Cruisers, Portals, explosions.

damn!you must go to the real movies!!

  • Good vid - if this wasn't a test, I'd say that maybe the background needs some work. But that's just me.

  • The models are trule excellent. Most of the effects stuff is spot on! Missing some finer detail in some of the sequences, but this is damn fine stuff. Well done.

  • cool, i could give you one suggestion though. when some of the weapons hit, make pieces exploding off of the ships. and by the way, was there star wars ships in the backround?

  • Love the fact that you used music from the never released Babylon 5 Game: Into The Fire by Christopher Franke. Great stuff man!

  • what program did you use?

  • That was cool

but if you don't mind me asking how long did this take to do?

  • yeah. the i've found he rmusik fits great :) the video is also fantastic! great job.

  • Ok, I know you've said this before, but what software did you use for the phasers/laser fire from the ships?

  • was that music called please:)

  • that was pretty awesome

  • not bad, i would say really good

  • Incredible cool, make more!!!

  • How do u animate all this stuff?

  • probably anim8or or blender... im an ani8or user

  • Try to look back into the comments... some comments ago losys said he uses 3DSMax...

  • what animation program did you use? Great job keep up the good work!!!!

  • Dude that was epic!

I always wondered though, how do you create the pannelling effect on ships? All my efforts either end in taking a 2d section away or having to build a bazzillion individual blocks and welding them to the ship. =[

  • Excellent

  • Wow very nice!

  • nice man its awsome

  • reminds me of halo kinda

  • As a filmmaker, I'd be interested in hearing about your larger project, if you'd care to share.

  • Insert standard gibbering fanboy type comment here.

I notice this is a couple of years old - has anything else come out of these tests since then? It'd be a shame of that kind of work ran into a wall...

  • MAKE MORE OF THIS, I DEMAND IT...

Lol seriously. You are the most talented amateur (?) space battle creator i've seen on YT yet. My space battles are not even close to the quality of this...

Cool music by the way, did you make it yourself?

  • Cool! I hope this is a game! :D

  • wow, those are some pretty cool looking ships. Did you design all on your own?

  • He's using cinema 4d

  • Actually it was all done in 3DSMax 5. One of these days I should post something more recent =)

  • @Iosysomega can you tell us where you got it from? some if us dont like epically long delivery waits...

  • @Iosysomega Looks old)) Like 2004) LOL

  • @Iosysomega do u download or buy the softwere?

  • very nice,5 stars and subscribing.....keep up the good work

  • Yes, please tell the 3d software you used (Max or Maya, maybe?), as well as the software you used for the special effects and lasers (I doubt its after effects).

  • Alex can u please tell me how you did that or what program you used please!? im making a starwars movie right now but i need the starship animations for the entrance scene please! i will subscribe if you answer!

    GREAT STUFF !!

    5/5

  • not bad, not bad at all, you could so go into a business involving A. Creativity, and B. a design programming

  • Good models and animation of the battle loved it. What modeling program did u use and where can you get the program.

  • whats the song?

  • i would apsulutly love to command that ship at 0:17 it looks big and bad I MUST HAVE if only to take ove my contry lol.

  • nice, especially 1:16, wth did u use

  • Nice! thats awesome!

  • what software did you use? it looks awsome!

  • Excellent work. Love some of the ship designs. Especially the one that looks influenced by an old sub and the one that sort of resembles a squid's tail. Just reminds me of the old ships that were made from existing boxed models.

  • it's very like babylon 5 but i love it. 5/5,10/10,best of the best!!i want to see more of this!

  • Bloody brilliant! What can I say? Awesome stuff. The ship reminds me of the ones in Star Ship Troopers. 5/5.

    anyway, great vid, absolutely great!

  • yes ¡¡¡¡¡

  • Music ????

  • 0:40 = Pure Awesomeness.

  • What's the title of the music you used ?

  • This is really beautiful work. Did you model the ships yourself as well?

  • yes he did.

  • What's the title of the music you used ?

  • Really Really nice work what machine are you running and how long did that take to render ??

  • Digitalshark, wasn't it science that told us that the world was flat, wasn't it science that told us that man would never reach the moon or leave earths gravity not so many years ago. Didn't science tell us that life could not exist at the boiling point of water and yet we now know that it thrives at those temps and beyond around smoker vents deep in the oceans, as a matter of fact life exists in every hostile extreme environment on earth were science has told us that it was impossible too.

  • What's the title of the music ?

  • FANTASTIC! Can't wait to see the whole thing!

  • Great work!

  • Awesome animation, many don't realize that there is such a battle being waged in our own solar system.

  • What are you talking about?

  • I would suggest that you look up the subject on the net, we are and have been for quite some time (or at least others) in some form of battle, this can be seen occasionally in the night sky, very frightening but very real.

I would suggest you try a search on IR or nightvision UFOs.

  • ye about what he is talking?

  • what r u talkin about.

  • sorscoder - Allow me to recommend that you read a book by a scientist named Carl Sagan entitled "The Demon Haunted World - Science as a Candle in the Dark." If you want people to "take the plunge" so to speak and dive into the fantastic, you should consider counter balancing that with some healthy scientific skepticism. There is a wonderful test he describes as "The Dragon in my Garage." Check it out.

  • Digitalshark, I welcome the comment, I also meet everything in life with a strong dose of skepticism, I'm the type that looks at all three sides of a coin, not just the two sides.

My comment above only reflects what I have personally witnessed with my mother years ago, be it our's or there's, 1 object shot another, then the 1 left took off across the night sky. I also videotape the skies during the daytime in Infrared at 950nm, you should try it, you would be surprised what is really out there.

  • di you do these

    very cool

  • Awesome! What programs did you use to create this?

  • i think it might be blender

  • no, 3ds max and photoshop. he sait it earlyer

  • Dude, please check mine out, :D, woh that is unbelievable.. thats awesome, what did you use, and how long it take you?

  • You guys should do an internet movie.

  • Wow, this is so cool!!! I want to learn how to do this kind of stuff :D

  • that was genius!

  • *dribbles*

    how...

    please share

  • Most of this animation looks better than the CGI done on Star Trek Voyager. Good job!

  • You, Sir, are indeed an inspiration. I think I have to do something now in that respect.

  • nice, cant wait to see what you come up with. I really like some of your ship designs too

  • looks so much like EVE Online : D

  • nice

  • Mate... You should make a new RPG-thingy... :D

    Seb :)

  • how do you learn how to do stuff like this

  • i am also curious about how u did this freakin' awesome vid!

    DA4

  • This looks very good. Very nice work....RESPECT.....

  • omg amazing wht program did u use leave it in my pro or send me a message

  • hey man! its revere!! deadly video!! 5!!

  • Ok. You know who would kick all others asses in these battle scenes, but I have not seen hide nor tail of them in these vs. videos? You know the dinosaur people from that episode of voyager? They have been in space for millions of years and have far superior technology, even compared to species 8471 which is also quite powerful.

  • Great! What software did you use?

  • 3dsmax for model making and animation, photoshop for texture work. And thanks =)

  • Can you do something with faeries or angels? I'd like see something like that!!

  • Awesome job! What's the name of the music?

  • It's a track from an aborted game called Babylon 5: Into the fire.

  • To be exact, its the Combat Sequence E by Christopher Franke.

    Excellent clip, btw! :)

  • ::jaw drops:: That looks damn near as good as the pros!
