Probably to help JP Morgan and the like. Nice Monty Python analogy. I'm putting paper into metals to hold, not sell, so the move didn't affect me. Besides, I believe this is temporary. Didn't the graph seem like a 1-2-3 "bottom" anyway?
Oh man this movie brings back great memories as a kid discovering monty python for the first time and my freinds and i constantly singing the lumberjack song,
The drop in silver is temporary. It will go up higher than it was last week as will gold. As for my investments...food and other things I need. Ill be taking silver for fresh food in a few months...lol
I'm still ahead of the game. If your in dollars then you've lost big time. I just bought more silver with paper while it's down. Silver will never be worth zero, can you say that about fiat paper? Ask the folks in Zimbabwe how well paper money works.
@1776Rosco HI ROSCOE; First, HOW can you ever compare Zimbabwe with the US ? We have repeatedly won World Wars, helped countless nations, "police" the world, etc. What other country can make this claim ? Eventually, they WILL find a substitute for silver through technology/development, then what will it be worth ? This will happen BECAUSE huge corporations will NOT allow themselves to be held hostage to infinite silver price-hikes!! Silver is a wonderful metal, but when it's gone, it's gone
@piledriver92807 Your right, it can't happen here. LOL! All empires crumble from within and if you don't see it happening then you haven't opened your eyes. No one thought the Roman empire could be destroyed but again, they fell from within. EVERY fiat currency since the Romans first began the practice in the first century has ended in devaluation and eventual collapse, of not only the currency, but of the economy that housed the fiat currency as well.
@1776Rosco OH YES! ANYTHING is possible. But in our current day situation, the whole world is in our similar predicament. Look at all the countries in Europe; Portugal, Spain, Greece, Ireland, italy, etc, ALL of these need "Bailouts" from the European Union. If you take what happened with the Silver drop (over 30%) just this last week, how can this happen ? The 1% of wealthiest CONTROL the other 99%, and this was their way of showing it. It will happen again & again, watch & see!!!
@piledriver92807 And we are not immune. They don't care about the USA, they need us to fall so we will beg to join the NWO. Once the US is not the world's reserve currency then we will collapse. There are a few countries that refuse to be part of teir central banks, we named them the axis of evil, coincidence? China will be overtaking us both fiscally and as a superpower, what then? They will take us to war again soon. We saw the largest theft in history through the bailouts.
@piledriver92807 The silver drop happened because of paper silver, not the real commodity. Adjusted for inflation it is still underpriced. They are trying to help out their crook friends at JP Morgan and also take a profit and then buy back in again.
@drewzillasaurusrex LOL prepare for MASS flaming from the silver community :D Oh yeah silver still going for over $50 an ounce on ebay...What pullback?
@7Losses That $49 dollar spike lasted a whole what 5 minutes. That last series of salvos from the banksters put some holes in my Silver boat that's for sure. Now it's my turn again on Monday to BTFD. cheers
@drewzillasaurusrex uh.... no. People who invest in *paper* silver took an "ass-whuppin'", as you so genteely put it. I still have the hundred ounces I had last month, and they're still undervalued. Let's get together in 5 years and see who's laughing, shall we? You know, after pres'ent BamBam has had a good 2 terms to completely destroy the economy & a six-pack of Budweiser is $2300? This recent drop was just another manipulation by the "big boys", and it won't last long....
Good, so I can finally buy some more.
Buying at 40s was like a no no for me.

@piledriver92807 I am hardly a large investor in silver but I won't be selling it anytime soon. It is a hedge against inflation, nothing else. ;)

@hiram13pm I sold the kitchen sink in 1998 to buy Argent. Our next launchtime is delayed that's all.

If that's what's in store for silver investors, I have to say, it doesn't seem very promising.
