Karyn, I don't know why you are praising Dawson for ducking Diaconu. Diaconu is a big aggressive puncher who had a better chance of beating Dawson than Tarver does. Dawson could have proved his chin and mental strength (both of which are doubtful when it comes to him) for over $1 million against Diaconu and then unified the WBC and IBF belts against Tarver, for even more money than he is making now in that fight. He chose to duck Diaconu. Why, Karyn? To lose a belt and a lot of money?

If Dawson wins this fight, he walks away with two belts. Then he can go back and figure out how to reclaim the vacated belt. As for the money, there's no way a Dawson / Diaconu fight would ever have the draw of the Dawson / Tarver fight. ...Keep dreaming.

Looking forward: a fight with Dawson trying to unify three of the belts would also be big.
