@StormzReviewz I prefer the ASUS P6T7 SuperComputer MB. That is the board I use for 4-way SLI and it performs the best and is rock solid IMO.  It has 2x NF200s.

Actually thats the only kin of MB failure I have had minus the SB recall. They are always really nice and prompt cross shipping the replaement no extra charge unlike EVGA.

The 580s are prolly close to twice as fast as the 285s so one would perform better than SLI 285s and not have the issues thaty come with SLI. You should definitelty upgrrade with ASUS 580s.

2 GTX 285's WILL be faster than a single GTX 580. Unless you plan on GTX 580 sli, i would wait for dual gpu... Nvidia claims to be releasing a card in 2 days so watch out :D

@FalconCMH no a 580 is quite a bit better than 2 285's, 2x285's have a combined total of 480 cores, thats what a gtx480 has, and has close to the same clock specs, the 580 has 32 more cores and all the clock speeds are alot higher, i had 2x285's and have a 580 now, except for the heat difference its alot better

I'm sorry to say, but if people are buying two 580 GTXs just to play CoD: Black Ops, then they are retarded. Even one 580 GTX is an overkill for black ops let alone two. You can probably run it max settings on a single 285 GTX.

You'd be better off investing in two SSD drives and put them in raid 0

Owning an SSD in Raid 0 is retarded at this point for a desktop as the prices are free-falling. I had an Intel X-25 SLC in my Dell XPS17 ;)

Besides, that's not even the point here. He has FOUR GTX580 SC's, not two. If he can afford $2,000 USD worth of video card, he can afford SSD's.

SSD doesn't even make a difference in gaming unless you play singeplayer. I play mostly online. Why would I want to pay the price premium for dual SSD's when I still have to wait for everyone to sync up? It's stupid.

I know the benefits, I got SLC X25 in my Dell XPS 17.

Yes I have played it online and it plays smooth on my single 480 GTX. I suggest your friends to get their computers checked out or their heads. With the computer technology evolving so fast it doesn't matter if you buy SSDs now or later, there will always be something new few weeks after you bought it. Why bother buy x4 580GTXs when nVIDIA are releasing 600 series 1st quarter next year?
